10 Bit Ultrawide Monitor 24

Mounted an Acer Predator X34 Ultrawide monitor on this and was a bit worried that the weight would be a bit much. It holds this beast wonderfully with no issues. It is very well built from high quality materials and is just what I was looking for.

got this because I have the 10-24 and yes I love it, but this 8-16 is considerably wider and can get just that little bit more in the the landscape

The MixPre 10 II is an enormous improvement over its predecessor, the 10T. Both share quiet, clean sounding Kashmir mic preamps, but the 10 II records in 32-bit float, up to 192 KHz sampling rate. As Sound Devices explains, 32F is 24 bit resolution with 8 bits of overload capacity, up to 700 dB of range expansion. In practice, you get at least 20 dB of headroom and freedom from low level quantization noise. In other words, nearly 152 dB of useable dynamic range. In effect, it's nearly impossible to overload the internal recording with surprises common to live recording. Furthermore, the 10 II has three stages of digitization, with analog limiters on the preamp stage and digital limiting on the others. Last night I recorded a marching band drum line with 4 channels, which combined to exceed the nominal peak by 19.5 dB - recovered perfectly in post. The BlueTooth range is greatly extended over the wimpy performance of the 10T. I was able to use the WingMan control app at over 40' away in an auditorium full of cell phones, while shooting video from the balcony. I can't do a sound check beyond about 15' with the 10T. On the downside, the USB port will only deliver 24 bit sound to a computer, which will clip above 0 dBU with no chance of recovery in post. Internal recording is pre-fader, but post-fader via USB, and poorly documented. The touch screen menu is effective, but tiny. The automatic thumb drive copy is slow, taking several minutes on the end of recording, and disrupted if you disconnect the USB to computer too early.

The 16:10 aspect ratio at 24 1200P is the perfect monitor to be productive. For viewing and editing photos this monitos is brilliant. Had multiple inputs (2xHDMI, 1xDP, 1xUSB-C). The one con is if you plan to use a chromecast. The resolution does not match and videos are bit wonky in terms of resolution. That said, using this with a mac or PC is a charm!!!

Excellent performance in a tiny, lightweight, comparatively affordable package. 14mm with 77mm filter threads, and no vignette at 14mm even with a CPL - Impressive! One of the best ultrawide zoom lenses I have ever used. This includes: Nikon 14-24 G, Nikon Z 14-30, Tamron 15-30, Sigma 12-24 Art, Sigma 14-24 DN, and Lumix 16-35. Sharp details across the frame at all focal lengths, rich color and contrast, and almost no noticeable CA. This lens does not rely on software corrections to cover the FF sensor at 14mm like some other modern 14-__ ultrawide zooms. If you open the files without lens corrections, you will see the image circle extents well past the image frame, perhaps 13mm. If I am being picky, my only gripe is that the sunstar is nothing special.

I bought it along with my Nikon 10-24mm lens. So it will stay on it as long as I have it. Being an ultrawide lens, you need the slim filter to go with it. This one does the job!

I tested my many ultrawide lenses and was disappointed at how soft most of them were. I was looking for a lens that was good for underwater photography and milky way images. I was most disappointed with the Tokina 10-17 which is in every underwater photographers kit. I have two copies of that lens and both are pretty disappointing. This Nikon is an incredible lens, easily the best fisheye I have owned (I have had the old manual 16mm Nikkor, the 10.5 Nikkor, Tokina 10-17, Sea and Sea 12mm and Sigma 4.5)

Got this from B&H after many failed attempts and weeks gone by trying to pick it up at Best Buy. NEVER AGAIN. I will order all of my electronic gear from B&H because of their reliability and quality. Anyhoo, on to the Monitor Review: Pros: 1. Amazing Color range and accuracy - Not even calibrated it is incredibly accurate in my latest prints. Even more accurate than my Dell Ultrasharp4k 10-bit monitor. 2. Responsiveness and design - Easy to use and seems well built. The buttons are easy to use and for the most part the menu is easy to understand and navigate. Switches inputs way quicker than my 4k Dell and easier. 3. Features - 10 bit - 14 bit LUT and wide color range for Adobe RGB 4. Picture quality - Superb. Even though it is not 4k the image is incredible crisp and the colors are phenomenal. Cons: 1. No USB-C - Could use more USB inputs 2. No 4k - Great for productivity but for detail I use my 4k Dell Overall I would Highly recommend - the 2k version (or 4k if you have the budget) might be a great solution to someone looking for a main high res monitor but this one is a great space saver, productivity monitor that can be a good reference for editing photos and videos that require accurate color specs if you need a supplemental monitor or need something small.

I love this ultrawide monitor. It is the perfect size and just fits my whole set up I most def recommend! I hope they release a 4K update down the road for future proofing! But this monitor is gorgeous and pairs nicely with my Dell 7550 workstation.
