10 Megapixel Polaroid Digital Camera L1032

Even tho I was a little disappointed I did pre-order the E-5. I was thinking Oly would come out with an 18-24 megapixel, 10 fps shutter speed camera. I realized I am using the 10mp E-3 and printing 17 by XXXX photographs that were superior to my friends higher mp better selling brand cameras. I received the E-5 in October 2010. Having used this for a little better than 3 months I have put it to the test, in as far as how I will be using the camera. I must admit, I would have liked 8/10 fps but 5 was good for me in the past so it'll have to do. One thing I haven't touched yet is the movie mode. I was going to put this down as a con (for me) but who knows, I might wake up tomorrow and try it and like it. What I look for in a camera is 1. RELIABILITY my Oly OM1, bought in Feb. 1973 after being discharged from military madness, 38 year old camera is in excellent working condition. I have not had a problem with any of my Olympus cameras. Unless you want to count the time my E-510 crashed to the concrete from 6 stories. I have had a couple Cannons and Nikons along the way which no longer work. 2 COLOR RESULTS which Oly's are true to life. I shoot 90% RAW, JPEG when the situation arises. I was very impressed with the JPEGS right from the camera. Oly's JPEG's were always the best - these really did impress me. 3. EASE of USE. Going from E-1, E-510, E-3 to E-5 it is part of me, or maybe I'm part of it. 4. CAMERA/LENS combination. In my view Olympus/Zuiko is tops. I seldom go over 800 iso so I'll leave this alone. I must admit I came close to falling for the megapixel myth. Olympus made changes where they would truly make a difference. One last thing. The mirrorless systems have caught my eye. I will be watching. As always, B&H your the best. 5 |

A little pricey, but I managed to photograph roughly 1300 pictures with my 10 megapixel camera. So I highly recommend these batteries. 5 |

So what makes buying this camera worth it over finding an old polaroid camera at the thrift shop? Well the coolest feature in my opinion is the rechargeable battery in the camera. Usually with instant film you are only left with the battery that's in the film pack but with this camera you can use either the i-type film (no battery pack, relies on camera's rechargeable battery) or you can use the polaroid 600 film (the same film but with battery pack in with the film cartridge). Why is this a cool feature? Well you can now stock up on Polaroid film for yourself or a a gift and not have to worry about the battery in the film pack dying rendering the film useless. You have the ability to recharge the camera and keep shooting! And if the battery inside the Polaroid Originals One Step 2 ever does die or lose performance you can just switch to using the Polaroid 600 film with the battery pack in the film cartridge. This camera is totally worth buying! And I forgot to mention the Polaroid Originals film is pretty good and is only getting better! 5 |

The main thing I use this for is my keys! But it’s great when I switch it to my Polaroid, or my digital! But it’s always attached to my keys other wise and I just love it’s durability and can switch to any size you want. 5 |

B&H is the only place I can still find Polaroid film for under $ a package. And they have a lot of it! Yay! In this digital age it's getting harder to find instant print film, and we use it for work for quick and easy identification of items that fly out of our warehouse faster than we can catalogue them. 5 |
