10 Wide Plastic Drawers

I have 4 of these. They took the place of random storage in plastic bags and the bottom of drawers. I like them because they are waterproof and secure, yet easy to open without breaking a fingernail, unlike some other competitors. Not expensive and highly recommended. 5 |

I didn't have a wide-angle lens... I do now!.. I took my 10-20 down to a nearby park and I'll let the results speak for themselves. I think I'll keep this one! 5 |

Its tiny size makes this lens special. A Z 50 with the 16-50 mounted on it is about the size of a small SLR body with NO LENS WHATSOEVER (see photo). Some people are disappointed by the plastic lens mount, but Roger Cicala of lensrentals dot com has written that plastic vs metal seems to make no difference reliability-wise. That's good enough for me. Mine has good wide-open sharpness at all focal lengths. Which is nice, because THE negative of this lens is that it gets slow fast as you zoom from 16mm to 50mm. You'll be shooting it wide-open a lot. 5 |

This product is a straightforward, no-nonsense camera holster/clip. This is perfect for the traveler with a small camera who is active but wants the convenience of having a camera in reach at all times. I use it with my Leica D-Lux4 compact with great results. It's lightweight, of solid plastic construction, and it's very easy to install/remove. I chose this product because most camera clips/holsters I've seen are designed to hold DSLRs locked in place facing downwards. I picked this product because it would allow me to mount my compact leica to my belt, keep it flush to my side (lense facing out), and yet leave some free-motion for walking/sitting. The holster fits a wide variety of belt sizes, from thin synthetics with plastic buckles to wide classic leather. I recommend the plastic over metal construction because it's lightweight with zero mechanical parts. Overall, I'd give this product an A rating, especially for the price. If you're looking for a higher-end holster for compacts, I'd recommend checking out the Scarabaeus, though the price is magnitudes higher. 5 |

Lee adapter rings seem to come in three varieties. A)Some sort of odd plastic which has been milled by a blind man and won't fit. B)Metal (aluminum?) but not wide angle. This appears to be rings over a certain size which leave the plastic ones too thin to be sturdy. C)Wide angle which are all metal and, with one caveat, are the ones to buy and use. The only problem with the wide angle is that they won't accept a clip-on lens cap of the same size as A & B do. For instance, I had a 77mm metal, non-wide angle ring which (together with the filter holder and wide-angle shade) vignetted shorter than about 50mm on my 24-105 zoom; the 77mm wide angle ring shows no vignetting till about 30mm. So why use, other than to save a little money, anything but wide angle rings and risk more vignetting and a ring that won't fit other Lee attachments? 5 |
