This adapter gives you good connections at 5Gb, 2.5Gb and below, as long as you have USB 3.1 from either a USB-A or USB-C port. You may need to download and install the driver from QNA-UC5G1T - Download Center ' QNAP (US) before the adapter will be recognized. It gets slightly warm with use, so make sure you don't bury it under other cables and components. You'll want a genuine Cat6A cable and the appropriate SFP adapter for a full 5Gb connection.

Excellent USB-C 3.1 to sata adapter. I was having multiple issues with multiple other vendors not seeing the correct formatting on SSD drives used by the Ninja V+ above 2TB. This one works and I get full transfer speed. I am also using it for loose sata ssds not related to my Nina product without any issues. I should have bought this sooner than I did.

I replaced a previous VAVA adapter because it was dropping the ethernet connection. This one does not have that issue. It has one less USB connection, but that is not an issue for me.

My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. This USB adapter is a great solution.
