10Gb Internet Speed Test

Works as expected. Massive improvement in speed and I got 10GB.

I have Xfinity and one day I decide to do a speed test, I’m paying for gigabit internet and was barely getting 70 mbps with their provided router. I decided to upgrade and this thing WORKS it was an easy install, a lot smaller than the previous one and handles my internet speed easily no bottlenecks or anything. I have previously bought net gear and ended up coming back I know where my business will always be!

The Netgear CM1000 was a breeze to setup and once registered, I ran an internet speed test to find out that I was now getting the maximum speed for my service. Highly recommend it.

This modem allows me to use my gigabyte Internet to its full capacity with no problem. Speed test shows 965 MB per second Internet speed download.

After I upgraded my 300mb cable internet to Google fiber 2 gig service I decided to start making some upgrades to take advantage of the speed and this router fit the bill. My previous 2 routers were both Asus and they've been excellent so I thought I'd stick to what I'm comfortable with. This thing comes with a 2.5Gb WAN port that I'm feeding with Google's fiber. Along with 4 gigabit ports, it has 2 10Gb ports. I immediately purchased some Intel 540 10gb network cards for my Proxmox server and my standalone PC and connected them to these two ports. WOW! Next step is to get myself a 10Gb switch so I can get even more ports because I'm totally addicted to the speed. Back to the router......setup was quick and easy. The mobile app walks you through and I was up-and-running in no time. The web management interface is what I'm already used to and it's excellent. You have a ton of options and I even get to use my previous Asus router as an AiMesh node if I want to expand the wireless range.

This QNAP QSW-2104-2T 6 port switch gives me 10Gb speed and band width from my main PC and my QNAP NAS. And the 2.5Gb ports gives great connections to my other network components. Easy to set-up just plug and its operates perfectly. Highly recommend this device. As usual B&H was right on the price and delivered quickly.

I purchased this router since I move a high quantity of large files to and from my NAS. In a single outing I could have as many as 10,000 photos and 256GB worth of files to transfer. I also wanted better wi-fi coverage and performance than my current ISP modem was giving me. I recently purchased a 10GB Synology network card for my NAS so I could utilize the high-speed networking that that 10GB port provides. The only gripe I have is that your PC or laptop must be plugged into the secondary 10GB port as well so that you can see your NAS properly and connect to its web page otherwise it's totally segmented. I wished it had a few more ports which comes in handy if you to do port binding to increase the 1GB LAN speed to 2GB without needing an extra switch. Overall, it's doing what I had hoped it's increased my wireless performance for my security cameras. it's not timing out like it did before. It has its own separate firewall provided by trend micro. Even though it's kind of big I highly recommend it especially for people with NAS storage.

Unless you have a data center 10gb is probably more speed than you could ever use. I can only utilize 2.5gb so I don't use the cable to its full potential. However I buy these for all my devices for the cables shielding and for future proofing. They are well made and I haven't had one fail me yet.
