12 1.5 Volt Battery Series Vs Parallel

Maybe this isn't quite what Sony had in mind for it's adapter. I use a 12 volt dc sealed cell battery, plug a 120 volt converter into that, then convert it back into dc with the Sony adapter. I do that for extreme extended battery use for astrophotography field use. It seems to work fine. There's no overheating in any part of my contraption, including the Sony Adapter.

I love this camera, it’s one of my favourite so far. The fact that under status you can tell you are using the 12 volt SPYPOINT battery is wonderful addition. The only thing left to make it better is to indicate the power left on you 12 volt external battery

This charger not only does 110 but has a 12 volt adapter included.

Very good sound quality. Lots of flexibility for installation (series, parallel, series/parallel, etc.). Easy to install. The only con is that the instructions don't tell you how to remove the grill or that you have to remove the grill to tighten the screws that clamp it into the ceiling tiles. Use a very thin screwdriver or a box cutter to do this so you don't damage the speakers or grills.

worked just like the product I replaced except uses a double A battery instead of a nine volt.

Great for charging multiple batteries and the ability to charge from a 12 volt source is great for when you are traveling and need to top off your batteries.

So nice to get to charge all 3 of my batteries at once. It can also be ran off of a small inverter from a 12 volt plug in a vehicle. Definitely worth the money.

I power my Ikan 502 with a 12 volt drycell for long video taping at locations where power isn't available.

I used the supply to power 2 G4 style LED under counter lamps. They are 12-volt LEDs that I wired in parallel and each use 240mA so the 500mA rating of this PS was perfect.
