12 Volt Digital Video Recorder

I power my Ikan 502 with a 12 volt drycell for long video taping at locations where power isn't available.

This charger not only does 110 but has a 12 volt adapter included.

The case is being used for my SONY.. digital HD video camera recorder. It is big so that it will fix and room for digital camera, the ligths, etc... So far (4-5) producer, would like to have one now.

The battery is for my son's digital video recorder. It was used extensively for only about 10 days and worked very well, no complains. What will happen later we don't know but hope for best.

For years I was using $3k digital recorder to transfer video from my DVR to my computer for editing & posting to social media. The Elgato device gets the job done at a fraction of the cost.

I use this to power my Zoom H4n recorder using a USB to 5 volt cable. I set levels, press record and record my band all night with no worry of changing dead batteries.

Great for charging multiple batteries and the ability to charge from a 12 volt source is great for when you are traveling and need to top off your batteries.

Maybe this isn't quite what Sony had in mind for it's adapter. I use a 12 volt dc sealed cell battery, plug a 120 volt converter into that, then convert it back into dc with the Sony adapter. I do that for extreme extended battery use for astrophotography field use. It seems to work fine. There's no overheating in any part of my contraption, including the Sony Adapter.

So nice to get to charge all 3 of my batteries at once. It can also be ran off of a small inverter from a 12 volt plug in a vehicle. Definitely worth the money.

I used the supply to power 2 G4 style LED under counter lamps. They are 12-volt LEDs that I wired in parallel and each use 240mA so the 500mA rating of this PS was perfect.
