128Gb Solid State Drive Vs 1Tb Of Hdd

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't figure out why I was opposed to ordering my new computer with a Solid State Drive instead of a HDD. Perhaps I was leery of the technology. I since replaced the HDD with the Samsung 860 Pro Solid State Drive. Before it to several minutes for the system to boot, now it is almost instantaneous. The overall performance of my system has increased 100 fold. Kudos to Samsung for their continuously innovative products. They made me a believer. 5 |

I used this 1TB HDD to replace the original 1TB drive in a G-Tech G-Drive Mini. Noticeably quieter operation from initial "turn on drive" moment. I've been working it very hard lately and its performing well, not running as hot as the original HDD. 5 |

I use the PNY 128gb Turbo 3.0 flash drive to back up my extensive photo work and also my video's. Being USB 3 it's much faster and the size (physical size) of the drive is ideal for for storage. Doesn't take up space and easy to bring along if need be to show work on it. A HDD I had for backup failed and I lost tons of images. I still use a HDD but this gives me an extra margin of safety. This makes 3 now for storage. Couldn't be happier or more at ease. 5 |

Nicely done on the PRO VS EVO. The PRO actually does have a full 1TB available, VS the EVO's 960GB after formatting. 5 |

Works with Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SATA HDD P/N 2GH172-021. The HDD was a 2nd drive in a laptop that died. The USB 3 SATA III drive adapter cable gave me the means to retrieve my data from the dead laptop. 5 |

Excellent case fits the 1tb HDD that I bought perfectly. This will keep the drive safe and also has a small compartment for holding the USB cable. 5 |

I have a Samsung SSD and a WD Black 1TB HDD. Been using them since 2015, (I don't keep my PC powered on 24/7, I only turn it on when I'm using it). Anyways. I trust WD HDDs. Have read a lot more good reviews of it than the Seagates. WD costs a bit more. My 1TB WD black drive was around $75 while a similar speed Seagate costs a lot less for double the storage capacity. After 2 weeks of thinking I finally bought the Seagate 2tb 7200rpm drive. The drive did not show up in BIOS or in Windows. Even the Windows Parton l partition manager didn't detect it. The easiest way is to boot your PC with the Windows installation disk. Then go to drive selection window and format the newly installed drive from there and now it will be detected in Windows and in BIOS. While I was copying my backup files, the drive did make a slight sound but it went away. This drive is fast. And surprisingly, this drive is much thinner than the WD 1tb black drive I have. Twice the storage, same rpm as the WD HDD but thinner profile! The drive did not come with any screws or data cables. While transferring my backup files to it (100gb of games), this drive reached 40 degrees while my WD was at around 36 degrees.i just hope my drive lasts long without issues. 5 |
