1441 Accessories For Cars

I bought the AC-1441 from B&H a few weeks ago because I wanted solid but portable support for my Nikon D750 that I bought from them. The attached photograph shows a typical setup on a hike (New York City is in the background from Montclair). The D750 is on the Oben and a Lowepro 15L carries both. The question readers will have is, What lens?' I'm using the 24-120 zoom, and the Oben easily accommodates it. If you are shooting with a big lens such as a 400mm, you might want a beefier tripod, but maybe not. Of course you lose some portability with a heavier tripod, and the Oben is stiff. The ball head is adaptable to the situation. At first I felt that a panning head might be more useful, but the ball is better suited to portability and diverse situations. (No handles to get in the way). Out of the box the AC-441 assembles quickly and then you are off and running. And not only for hiking, the tripod travelled easily to family for Hannukah and Christmas and set up easily. It doesn't get in the way when photographing the busy activities. The AC-1441 is an extremely available tripod and I am very happy with it.
