14Th Generation Motherboard

This motherboard kicks butt. It handles my 14th generation i9 CPU alike a champ.

It's a good motherboard for the price. Wish i wouldve waited for the 14th gen intel stuff to drop to build a new comp but it is what it is. Paired with a 13700k

I have an earlier generation of the Meshify case, which I liked, but this one is even better. Being able to easily remove the top and the sides makes it easy to work on. There's a nice cutout in the back so you can put your CPU cooler in after installing the motherboard. I didn't want the drive cage in the bottom, and wasn't sure if I could remove it, but referred to the manual which showed to remove it from the back. Everything is so clean and nice with the wiring going around the back instead of having a nest of cables on top of the motherboard. I would definitely buy a Fractal Design case again for future builds.

Why? Well, it's 'unlocked'. It's fast. It's 12th generation. I don't need cpu graphics, but for 'new' builds or a motherboard replacement, it's perfect for an initial display or while tracking 'glitches'. I must admit, overclocking is left to the motherboard, and this hopped to a 4900MHz clock-rate almost out-of-the-box. Idle stays around 28-32C; light gaming pushed it to 40C. GFx card was in the 48-50C range and didn't trigger the fans to run. So, why not an i-7 or i-9? Cheaper and nearly equal across lots of stress tests with a good memory configuration, and I wanted a board to make use of my DDR-4 so this chip made sense. Unspent money meant I could grab the fancy fans!

Have the second generation but this one is the best so far . I like the way it locks.

Bought this for the annular eclipse in Albuquerque October 14th. Don't have a digitized tracking mount, so video was not considered. Between 10 AM and 11 AM I watched the eclipse on my Lumix DMC-FZ200 LCD screen, right outside my southerly front door, as I frequently adjusted pan and tilt of my Manfrotto 804RC2 tripod head, even shortening a tripod leg a few times to get more ALT, while using my Vello Wired Remote for shutter. Got 125 shots in that hour.

About as good as Intel processor you can get and still feel safe about it since those 13th and 14th gen's are looking pretty sketchy. I'm sure you have all heard about those issues.

My daughter received this kit as a gift for her 14th birthday, and she loved it. She has a Celestron Microscope and this kit is the exact complement for it. If your child likes the science is a good election.
