1.5 Tb Usb Flash Drive

A teeny, tiny 2 TB USB flash drive. Because of its two different size USB connectors, its an excellent, Bridge, for transferring files to and from older motherboards and my newer, more modern laptop which does not have a USB, A, port.

Fit my 1.5 TB WD hard drive perfectly. Great little case.

gutted the 1.5TB hard drive in this, put it into my drobo, and took a 500gb wd green and put it in this enclosure. works just fine. i like the fact that the enclosure is nice and minimal, no gaudy neon lights or whirring fans, which are completely uneccesary in hard drive enclosures.

For the past two weeks I have been using my new 1.5 TB Elements drive to back up my desktop system. If I leave my processor on overnight, my Acronis True Image 2012 software makes three full backups: a disk image of my C drive, a copy of all C drive files, and an image of e-mail files, after which it shuts down the processor. Since the Elements drive goes into an idle mode, I leave it on all the time. It is large enough to save multiple copies of each backup type, and is fast enough to get the job done in less than two hours.

What's not to like? A name brand hard drive with 1.5tb of storage space.A few years ago owning a 1.5tb drive would have been a dream, but now they are almost giving them away. I shoot 14bit RAW and save the files as TIFFs so there's no such thing as too big when it comes to hard drives.Had this not been B&H I would have thought that there was some sort of catch involved. Nope. ...I liked it so much I ordered a second one.

I've used other products, but have never found a more reliable and speedy hard drive than Seagate. I have a 500GB and a 1.5TB and they run just fine. This 2TB is a welcome addition.

This is the second 1.5 TB WD Elements drive that I own. They both work without a flaw. No issues whatsoever. I use them to tandemly backup four household pcs.

I purchased this drive to back up my system. With 1.5TB of HD space, I have lots of space for back up. Works great.

I bought this 1.5 TB drive specifically to be my Time Machine backup for my 1 TB iMac. I wanted the extra .5 TB so that Time Machine had some extra space for the backups and since I have nearly all of my iMacs hard drive filled. So far the Elements drive is working flawlessly and the Time Machine churns away in the background with it in perfect harmony. Western Digital provides a tutorial on how to format the drive for a Mac before you use it as well. It was very easy to do in Mac's Disk Utility.

I got this to edit video off of. Then back up on my desktop. I transferred 1.5tb in about 7 minutes. This drive is perfect. Only minor con is the icon on my desktop is a little smaller than other app icons. Really it's a great drive. Sometimes drives heat up and slow down, but I didn't notice. If that happens I usually use an ice pack on the drives to cool it off, but I didn't need to do that with this drive. I would like an 8tb version.
