1500Mah Rechargeable Battery Charger

I do not understand why Canon will not release a more powerful version of their battery (1390mAh vs 1500mAh). I can do 1200 shutter accuations per charge on my 40D, and about 1000 on the Canon battery. more images for less money, I think I know which way I'm going to go. 5 |

Great day/night pictures but needs a rechargeable battery pack and a solar charger 5 |

My old rechargeable batteries wouldn't hold a charge after many years of usage. So I bought this 8-Bay Rapid Charger for AA / AAA NiMH or NiCd Rechargeable Batteries by Watson. I love the way this battery charger shows how much power is left in each battery, plus you can refresh the battery by discharging and recharging them. Great battery charger. 5 |

It comes with a rechargeable battery. That being said the charger that came with it did not work. The light is really bright and works well. I would recommend placing it on the front of the gun and not on the optics to reduce muzzle climb, as it’s heavier and wider than the free one. 5 |

The rechargeable battery charges with a usb - cord you already have - genius! No unique separate charger required. Way better than replacing AAA batteries periodically. 5 |

This is the second one that I use. I use a lot of rechargeable batteries for Speedlights, wireless accessories, flashlights, ham radio equipment, test equipment and many household devices. I had been using a brute force Radio Shack charger as the first step in charging batteries, followed by putting them into the Watson unit for final charging and analysis. Many of the batteries charged in the RS unit were not fully charged when the unit indicated the charge on all 8 batteries was complete. This was obvious when I then put the batteries into the Watson charger and it evaluated them individually. With the Watson unit, every battery is fully charged. The Watson is not a classic fast charger, but it does seem to charge the individual batteries at the appropriate rate for that individual battery's capacity. I like the ability to see the progress on each battery, and as soon as its fully charged, I can replace it without disturbing the other batteries on charge. That speeds up the time for recharging a large group of batteries. The ability to mix AA and AAA cells on the same unit at the same time is also a great feature. Another plus is that it can be used with the 12v car adapter so I can charge batteries on the road. As my use of rechargeable batteries increases, I'll probably get a third unit. 5 |

This charger can charge up to eight rechargeable batteries. It can also discharge them first, if you want, but I don't think that's at all necessary with NiMH batteries. A small display panel below each battery shows the discharge/charge state of the battery in that slot. 5 |

If you use rechargeable AA's or AAA's, you should have a decent charger. Most chargers charge in banks of 2 or 4. That means that the battery will be treated the same as its neighbor. Better chargers charge each battery independently of the others. This way, the batteries get what they need. The best chargers give you metering on each battery. I've always had good luck with Watson products. This charger keeps the streak going. 5 |
