16Gb Ram Laptop Computers

Apple makes wonderful computers, but charges an arm and a leg for upgrading the RAM. Order your iMac through B&H to save the tax with minimum RAM and buy the 16GB (2 x 8GB) or 32GB (2x 16GB) memory kit to give you a total of 24 or 40GB. From my days of building windows computers, when I got the 2x16GB kit, I elected to remove the 2x4GB memory boards and put the new 2x16GB in their place. Then I put the original 2x4GB boards in the remaining 2 slots. See the accompanying photo of the boards installed. My rationale for this was that the motherboard was very likely designed to access 2 boards at a time in an 'interleaved' fashion, so you need to put equal memory in each one of the paired slots. I used the largest memory in the first pair of interleaved slots, as there is a small slow-down when a program memory needs crosses the pair boundary. In this case, I made that pair boundary as high as I could at 32GB by putting the largest memory cards in the first paired slots. Usually 32GB will hold all of my needs and nothing will have to cross the pair boundary'

This is an amazing laptop with 16gb RAM and M2 processor. I bought this laptop for my wife because we needed something that will last for years and B&H had the best price anywhere online! It is working great at expected. Delivery was free and flawless.

My laptop is running 16GB of RAM, an i7 processor and a 1TB hard drive. �(Due to the size, it was slow - 5400 rpm.) �I wanted an SSD when I bought the laptop 4 years ago, but prices of SSD were sky high if you could find them. �This is a much more reasonable price. �If you are maxed out on RAM, this is the next upgrade to look add - the loading and saving process is so much faster and reliability substantially higher as there are no moving parts. �It breathes new life into Windows based units!

This RAM was a perfect way to add 16GB to my Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 4 laptop. Upgraded from 16GB to 32GB by adding this 16GB module. Key specs match the original RAM.

I know this is an M1, not even M1Pro, chipset in this laptop. It has 16GB of no-upgradeable RAM. It only has two ports besides the audio one. Still, I don't see a reason to pay for M2 prices. This is plenty enough computer for my needs. I'm not a pro photog and don't need something for that kind of workflow. I do have a work MacBook Pro 16 which is spec'd to the 9's. I know the difference and didn't see the need for me to spend more. This little gem is plenty for me right now. Maybe later I'll get a real beast, but not today. I'm in my happy, photo editing place.

Bought this laptop with 16GB of ram, charged it up, and went on a trip, naturally forgot my charger. But no worries there, even though I did lots of web browsing and downloading and uploading of files, the battery never got below 40% after 2 days of usage. Your results may vary but I have been thrilled with this little powerhouse and the upgrade it is from my 2013 MBP.

Bought a Lenovo Legion laptop from B&H in 2020 with 16gb of RAM. Upgraded to 32gb with this kit. Took a few minutes to figure out how to open the laptop but it was easy after that. Bios auto updated, recognized the new sticks and was good to go. Took a good laptop and gave it a little more umph. Thank you B&H team for another quick delivery!

Saw the SODIMM RAM and couldn't believe my eyes! Exactly what I was looking for and less than anywhere else. My notebook now has 16GB ram and runs faster and glitch free. Doesn't get better than this! Only bummer - they are priced even lower now!
