This device is a wonderful thing to have. You can connect it to most SSD or 2.5 inch laptop drives. What you cannot do is use it to hook up a standard disk drive that requires 12 VDC as this draws poser from the USB port. The main use for me is to hook up a SSD containing my virtual machines. That way the VMs can be moved from computer to computer with little effort. 5 |

Installed fine in my Alienware Aurora R12. Did a CMOS reset and battery reset. Computer rebooted several times and finally booted to Windows. So far, so good. I now have this RAM installed alongside the OEM ram for 48gb. 5 |

At first I thought my 17 Alienware laptop won't fit because there was a slot for it however it fits on top of the cut out slot for a 15 laptop and there is alot more room for other things like iPad,iPhone,iPod,many more devices plus the power cord and it seals tight and nothing will ever get in! 5 |
