1950 Washer Machine

This is a very good machine for digitizing old (1980) and very old (1950's) 8 mm and super 8 films. I read the reviews before buying and always clean the film with 70% alcohol and a soft flannel cloth and dry with a microfiber cloth. I also wrap the fourth post with a microfiber as described in the extensive review on the B & H site for the Wolverine. Doing these two things and paying close attention to framing has given me very good results, mostly limited to the age and grain of the original film. Using my Corel 2020 version Video editor I have digitized, added titles, transitions, and music. I have only used 50 ft. reels so far. The 9 reels with 600 ft. may be more of a challenge. All in all I am very satisfied with the value and quality of this product (and glad I didn't spend twice as much on the other offering at B & H. 5 |

My Dad used Tiffen filters in the 1950's and I have used them since 1972 . Great glass . Great value . 5 |

Use it with my circa 1950 collapsible Summicron on my M4 and couldn't be happier. 5 |

I digitized 2200 slides from deep past-1950 and on to the 90's, storing them on a 2Gb Flash Drive. Separated out the slides of friends and family and sent them off to each with a Panavue 3 enclosed. Am getting back big Thank You emails and it was easy and low cost. I'm the family hero. 5 |

I have many 50-58mm lenses from spanning 1950 through 2019 and this is the best overall lens for Pentax. Downsides: its big and heavy and there is a small amount of chromatic aberration (red/green/purple) in certain situations when shooting at wide apertures. Wide apertures are very sharp and bokeh is very very nice. 5 |

The lens was purchased to quickly “digitize” some 500 photo prints, dating back to the 1950’s. It worked very well, rivalling the results from my Canon scanner. I haven’t used it for any nature closeups yet. Absolutely no regrets with the purchase. 5 |
