I am a semi-professional photographer. I sell my photographs at local art shows. I for years I have used Ilford Smooth Pearl, but they increased the price and cut the roll size. Then I switched to Ilford Lustre, but they discontinued the product. So I gave the Kodak Professional Luster Paper a try. I really like the results, so I just ordered 2 more rolls. I am switching over to Kodak. I found that the paper is more flexible than the Ilford. The Ilford is more stiff. At first I thought this might be a problem and I might get fold marks in the paper. So far this has not been a problem at all. In fact with the Ilford, I had to sometimes flatten the paper with weights to get rid of the curl. The Kodak paper is a brighter white versus the Ilford Lustre. I had to change a setting in Photoshop, and now I am getting consistent results with my previous Ilford prints. For me this is a great product and value.

This is the classic Kodak Portra film for medium format cameras by which all others can be judged. It is a color negative film, suitable for prints or large enlargements. Great for the professional or advanced amateur alike. Ideal for professional portraits, or indoor/outdoor still applications, or preset action shots.

I am a professional photographer and started printing in house in 2001. I use Epson printers, right now the 4900. I have tried several roll papers and always come back to the Kodak Lustre. It has a great look with a lab print sheen, lays flat coming out of the printer unlike many other papers that I tried, and the price cannot be beat. I love the Kodak Professional marking on the back. It tells my customers that I use only the best.

Product is very similar to Kodak Tri-X Professional. Both develop close with HC-110 Dilution E.

I mostly shoot professional film, but I find myself coming back to Kodak Gold 200 again and again despite the fact that it's a consumer-grade film. The colors always come out gorgeous, it's got just the right amount of saturation, and its warmth is just magical every time. The dynamic range isn't as good as in the high-end stuff, but it's seriously not bad either. This is the only cheap film that makes me double-check to make sure it's not one of the pro rolls, and is now the only one I continue to shoot.

t's like Kodak's professional film. Kodak's unique yellow tone decreases and has a tone that is closer to reality. It's a good film in many ways, but I think it's more suitable for photographing characters than scenery.

Ilford HP5+ and Kodak Tri-x Professional are very similar in performance, though Ilford HP5+ has a little higher rating of ISO 400 instead of 320.

Used this since 1991. Bought a few new roles to dust off the ol' F5...relive the Glory Days.
