Electrical power spikes occur for many reasons and your sensitive electronics won't survive unless you have a quality surge suppressor. Most products sold as surge supressors only provide a low level of protection and are little more than power bars. The Isobar offers a high level of protection and, unlike most other surge suppressors, will isolate each outlet from surges caused by other appliances plugged into it. We've been using APC Power Back-UPS since we got our first computers in 1997. We use them to back-up our computers, DVRs and TVs. We currently have 4 APC Backup Units. They are very very well made, reliable and are outstanding products. One of the benefits of having them, in addition to having continuous power when there is a short power failure, is that they have replaceable batteries. The unit I finally had to replace was approximately 20 years old. 5 |
