If you are installing an internal Solid State Drive to your desktop computer, you'll need this SATA wire unless you are able to scavenge one off another attached device that you no longer use. It attaches to the back of the SSD (or other SATA device) and to the mother board. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this solid state drive as a boot disk for one of my mini pc's. It was a quick and easy install. By putting the OS on the ssd, the pc boots up and starts so much faster than it used to. 120gb isn't a huge amount, nowadays, but it is enough to put most of my regular use programs on and run the peripherals off the external hard drive. I'm currently building a gaming pc and will incorporate ssd boot up in it, for sure. 5 |

Great backup drive for PC! It worked right out of the box in backing-up my ancient desktop computer's data over a USB 2.0 connection! Why get this over a larger desktop-sized backup hard drive? Well... Its small size makes it easy to put away. It's powered only through the cable connection, saving the hassle of having to power it down (just eject in Windows and unplug it when you're done!) and saving money on electricity costs. And its design for portability makes me worry less about the repercussions of accidentally dropping it on a hard surface or floor. I definitely would buy again, but with so much storage space left over, it might be a while! 5 |

I was replacing my eleven year old HP Envy desktop that died during a series of intermitten power failures. The hard drives were ok but the motherboard was fried. Was able to set up the new desktop easily even though I was unfamiliar with Windows 11. Having so many USB ports on both the front and back of the new PC made connection of peripherals easy. I was able to restore all of my data from the hard drives I pulled from my old desktop as well as an external backup hard drive. I scavenged the DVD/Bluray drive and connected it externally to the new PC since this model has no DVD drive. I have added a UPS battery to my configuration to keep power outages from causing problems. The new PC is faster and slightly smaller than my last unit. It is a pleasure to use. 5 |

Bought this as an upgrade to another portable hard drive I have for when I'm shooting on the road. It's super fast and I don't have to worry about a spinning disk since it's solid state. Also, being solid state it seems to draw less power from my laptop. The biggest plus is the extra speed though. Great little hard drive 5 |
