1Tb External Hard Drive Usb 2.0

I ripped an old 1TB hard drive out of an old USB 2.0 enclosure. It was easy to install it into this enclosure. It used small phillips screws. Having a set of small screwdrivers made it a simple installation.

I had an old 3.5 WD external hard drive that only had a USB 2.0 connector. I bought the Sabrent enclosure so I could use USB 3.0 instead. Once I removed the hard drive it was easy to install it in this new enclosure. You need to pay attention to the instructions and angle the drive to properly seat it into the SATA connector. I haven't tried removing it, but I don't need to. This enclosure uses a power plug. It's not bus powered. I do like that there's an on/off switch. Overall, what else can I say? It's a simple solution that works. I'll definitely be buying more of these.

This external hard drive is fantastic. It is compatible with USB 2.0 and 3.0. It is very fast compared to the USB flash drives we have been using in the computer labs. I would purchase more like these as my budget allows.

This is my second WD Elements SE 1TB drive. I have them both hooked up to a WDTV Live, which I use as a simple NAS and media player. They are very reliable and quiet. Even though I only have USB 2.0 ports on all my computers, the USB 3.0 interface in the WD Elements does seem to allow for slightly faster transfers than a standard 2.0 external drive. I also like the matte black finish better than the shiney finish on the comparable Seagate drives from a cleaning and aesthetics standpoint.

I have been using a 1TB Passport USB Hard Drive for Mac by WD for second backup. The first is a fatter 1TB WD drive with a useful Firewire connection.Recently, I noted a surge in digital photos in my files that I have been backing up regularly. I am approaching the 1 TB, so I decided to but this modest 2TB drive.It is literally plug-and-play. I shall probably buy another one soon for the sake of making redundant backups. At the current prices, this is a modest investment in securing my digital files.

The LaCie 1TB Rugged USB 3.1 external hard drives are affordable and very reliable. I own and use quite a few of them and have never had a problem with them. While they aren't as fast as a solid state drive (SSD), they are handy for backing up data and/or transferring data from one computer to another.

Not turtle hard but semi-hard, the WD 1tb WD Elements USB 3.0 External Drive, fits into the internal pocket of this Case, the other side of the case has a strap and the USB cord fits underneath perfectly. The protection is fine for home and travel, if the unit is going to be subject to hard knocks and bumps, then you may want the Turtle hard type cases.

Small and fast and an excellent value for anyone needing an external drive. Usb 2.0 or 3.0 and performs well on either. Just ordered another, and will continue to use this brand and size for any more expansion of my computer. I use it to install information intensive programs on (photoshop and photos) and the second one was bought solely for backup of my complete system. No problems after 2 weeks...runs cool and reliable..
