1Tb Hard Drive Laptops Under 500

I changed my laptops original sata mechanical 1TB hard drive with this The difference in speed is amazing. Well worth it!

This is third Crucial 1TB drive I have used to upgrade desktop and laptops. Crucial's Acronis software makes cloning the drive simple and easy. Compared to the old mechanical HDD, this SSD results in a significant performance improvement in terms of bootup time and app startups. Very pleased.

I have been using a 1TB Passport USB Hard Drive for Mac by WD for second backup. The first is a fatter 1TB WD drive with a useful Firewire connection.Recently, I noted a surge in digital photos in my files that I have been backing up regularly. I am approaching the 1 TB, so I decided to but this modest 2TB drive.It is literally plug-and-play. I shall probably buy another one soon for the sake of making redundant backups. At the current prices, this is a modest investment in securing my digital files.

I bought this to duplicate my 1TB Elements drive, and it works just as you'd expect a hard drive to work: plug it in, and you can immediately start putting files on it! I have no complaints other then the fact that it doesn't use micro-USB or USB-C. Would definitely purchase again!

Needed a 1TB hard drive for an older computer I was refurbishing and didn't have the space to safely mount a SSD. The hard drive arrived in excellent condition and has been working flawlessly ever since.

I replaced using a 1TB with this 8TB external hard drive for backing up my computer's internal hard drive monthly. The cost of 1TB was 2/3 of the cost of 8TB and now I don't drop off older backups. Easy enough to reformat for an iMac which you will need to do before your first backup. B&H computer reps will guide you through the first time; they are always willing to assist. I wrote the steps down and have done it solo 2X since.

I was using a 1TB hard drive for my old iMac which had a 250gb HD. This year I upgraded to a new machine which has a 2TB SSD and ran out of space on the old external so this 6TB drive is everything I'll need for a backup disk, at a great price. Setup was easy. I had to reformat to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), but Disk Utility makes that super easy, let it run backup overnight while the machine was in sleep mode, and everything is running great. There's definitely peace of mind in having all of my data backed up.
