This 1TB Western Digital portable hard disk drive was obtained for the purpose of providing system-wide data backup for an Apple iMac. It served the purpose perfectly. After after a very quick delivery of the product it was simply a matter of plugging it into the iMac (with the included USB cable). My laptop is running 16GB of RAM, an i7 processor and a 1TB hard drive. �(Due to the size, it was slow - 5400 rpm.) �I wanted an SSD when I bought the laptop 4 years ago, but prices of SSD were sky high if you could find them. �This is a much more reasonable price. �If you are maxed out on RAM, this is the next upgrade to look add - the loading and saving process is so much faster and reliability substantially higher as there are no moving parts. �It breathes new life into Windows based units! 5 |

I used the Pearstone USB SATAIII adapter recently to clone my 1TB hard drive on my desktop to a 2TB SSD (solid state) replacement drive. The cloning and SSD replacement worked very well. 5 |

When my mechanical HDD hard disk with the data partitions notified me that it was in trouble, I turned to B&H for a reasonably priced 2T SSD replacement by Crucial, the Micron people. I was able to install the new SSD, partition it and back up everything to it, and by now enjoy the quiet assurance that everything is back to normal, but better, smoother and quicker than ever before. 5 |

I had a 6-year-old desktop with a regular (legacy) hard disk drive. The desktop was painfully slow when doing anything. After installing the SSD, the desktop instantly sprang to life. It's like a brand-new computer. If anyone has a slow computer, and it has a legacy hard disk, pop an SSD in and you will be amazed by the performance difference. 5 |
