1Tb Usb3 0 External Hard Drive

I use this hard drive in an external Thermaltake USB3 dock for creating my offsite backups. The 4TB is perfect for my system configuration and the drive is fast and quiet.

I have few external 2.5 hard drives, but this one is the best. It's look and design is superb and the price is fair. It is not USB3 but it doesn't matter since my MacBook Pro is not USB3 compatible (so are other Macs), so why pay the extra money for something I do not need. Also I bought this hard drive to my Time Machine backups, so I don't need the fire-wire (extra money) hard drive.

the best 1TB Store external drive

I replaced using a 1TB with this 8TB external hard drive for backing up my computer's internal hard drive monthly. The cost of 1TB was 2/3 of the cost of 8TB and now I don't drop off older backups. Easy enough to reformat for an iMac which you will need to do before your first backup. B&H computer reps will guide you through the first time; they are always willing to assist. I wrote the steps down and have done it solo 2X since.

I ordered and am now using a LaCie 1TB Rugged Mini external hard drive for a number of reasons: I need to be able to travel with a reasonable amount of moving image that I can share with my co-editor (also a LaCie user), so the product is not only changing hands, but also has to sustain travel, in various contexts. My first LaCie back-up drive (20 years ago?) has survived all kinds of conditions, and many years of service, so I prefer to rely on brands that have served me well! It is honestly not portable, gone are those early days of bulky, heavy equipment, at least for me! I would buy another LaCie tomorrow if needed.

When I bought my 1TB G-Drive External Hard Drive to store my Lightroom photos, I realized I needed a case for it. I looked at many different cases, but I ended up choosing this one for its small size and hard external skin. My 1TB G-Drive fits perfectly in it with the thunderbolt cable. I carry this in my camera bag along with my camera and lenses. Great product!

I do travel photography, this 1TB LaCie external hard drive is my life source. I’m always super super busy so need something that can make my life a little easier and it does just that. Ide give it 10 stars if I could. Very portable, very easy to use and it can take a lot of abuse.

I use many of these usb3 hhd for years, essentials, old passports, new passports, 1TB, 5TB and lots of 4TB padports. Like all hdd, they need surge of electrical power to startup, and a good USB port and cable. Occasionally the really old ones need two or three attempts at spinning up and initialize. The passports have always been solid performers. Knock on wood, no data losses. WD drive utilities are fine, but their backup software is horrrrrible. The drive itself and supplied cable is very good.
