2 Amp Micro Usb Mains Charger

Neat with a micro usb charger.

I bought this to be the main for the 2 channel fronts in my home theater system for better quality listening to just 2 channel stereo. This amp delivers. I have a Marantz AV8801 preamp running in 7.2 with a 5 channel OSD amp to the other speakers. The speakers are all Klipsch with the mains RP-280Fs. It really woke up the mains and the sound quality is more audiophile like, very transparent and smooth. I only have a few hours on the amp so far, so I can't say if it is sounding better after break in, but it sounded pretty darn good right out of the box. I think it's a great amp for the money, and one of the rare amps that has balanced inputs at this price point. I would love to hear what it could do with a set of Cornwalls.

These are great for monitors and work well for mains in a small club. To get the best reproduction, use a least a crown amp with 500W into 8 Ohms. If you are using them for mains, I recommend sweeping it with a 1/3 octave eq.

Have you ever become frustrated when folks power up an amp rack while a source is delivering a full-scale signal to it? The large LEDs in this unit are eye-catching enough to act as a console output pilot light which might catch enough attention to avoid the situation. There are even more useful applications for the unit... so don't write it off as a toy before trying it. In our application, a 52kW amp rack is controlled by an innocent-looking key switch. Imagine that someone turns off the keyswitch and then uses the mains level controls as a handy headphone volume knob while the amps are off. Without the eye-catching LEDs displaying mains level, its easy for the next person to activate the keyswitch, deafening those in the path of the 52kW amplifier output.

It acts as a charger, plugs in with a standard micro USB cable like many cell phones and the camera itself. (I shoot with RX100, HX90V, and at times, RX1.) It also acts as a case for the battery. It's so small. It's barely larger than the battery it contains. This makes it so perfect for travel. With just a single cable and adapter I can charger all my electronics. I bring a few of these and charge what is needed very conveniently with minimal added bulk. I love this design.

I love this charger. It is thin, small and easily pocketable. It is just a battery box with a micro usb port on it. But I must say that this is one of the cutest chargers in my collection of possibly more than a hundred chargers for various electronics. The charger securely holds the battery and charges it either from Sony's camera plugin (not supplied) or a computer via a micro usb cable (not supplied). I do wish it came with an extra shorter (than the one supplied with the camera) micro usb cable. A plus for the charger is that it can keep the battery in it until the battery is required for use. I was planning to buy a second battery for my RX100, but I think this option is more cost effective.

Easy to build on, love the usb-c. I like having 2 m.2 slots.
