Ethernet cables are ethernet cables, but these are fine! 5 |

The MR2200ac is another very nice product from Synology. This is integrated with my Synology RT2600ac router to be an access point to extend wi-fi coverage – mesh wi-fi. Setup is almost automatic and took about 2 hours, unboxing to finished. The documented instructions are a bit thin, but the bottom line is to follow the on-screen directions. Starting at my main PC with the router and AP within sight, and logging into to the router’s web page, the router will discover the MR2200ac via wi-fi, handle all the network connections and updates (this took several minutes) and will establish the access point. Then, connecting a CAT6 Ethernet cable to the MR2200ac’s WAN port, the router will think a bit and determine that the connection is now wired – Ethernet backhaul. Checking the performance, full network speed is available between the router and AP. At about this point, the router’s SRM operating system may realize that the versions differ between the units. I was prompted to update, with a window to select the update file for each box from my local computer. Sidetracking, I downloaded each .PAT file from Synology’s download site. Click GO and the SRM will update in each box, taking another few minutes. The final test was then to relocate the AP to another location (on a UPS for reliability), plug in the WAN to my network, and re-check the setup on the router’s SRM. After some handshaking, all was well and I now have reliable 2.4 GHz and 5GHz coverage, with stronger signals and much faster speeds. The Ethernet connection to the WAN port is through 2 switches to the router, with no speed loss. Where I had 25% ISP internet download speed with a medium to weak signal at 2.4 GHz (and unusable 5 GHz) with the router alone, I now have seamless 100% speed at 5GHz. You may finder cheaper solutions, but the easy integration with the Synology RT2600ac adds a lot of value for me. 5 |

This is what I need. I want this device to connect to the wireless network (at hotel, etc) and provide me with an ethernet port. I will then connect an Amplifi Instant Router the the ethernet port on this TP-Link RE600X and provide me with my own private network. The Amplifi Instant Router will easily connect to my AmplifI HD router at home and create a VPN connection that can be used by any devices I travel with to give those devices access to my home network. 5 |

This switch makes it easy to add Ethernet ports to your home network, you just need to run an Ethernet cable from your router to the switch, then reboot your system to make sure the IP addresses are assigned and you can still “see” all of your devices. I had a NAS drive that was assigned a new IP address after the install, and rebooting the pc helped fix the access issue. I was able connect another pc as well as another device to my network very quickly, all connected at 1GB/s. 5 |

I am very pleased with my green CAT Snagless Unshielded (UPT) Ethernet network patch cable. It goes very well with the red and blue cables that I have previously puchased from Cables 2 Go. They offer a quality product at reasonable prices and they are my “go to” source for cables. 5 |

I used this on a recent network rack installation particularly on larger bundles of ethernet cables. Cut to length, no waste, great stuff! 5 |

I bought this AP and a related router to replace an aging consumer grade wireless router which I had. Setting up this AP was a breeze and I'd recommend this to anyone wishing to implement or extend a wireless network in their home or small office. The thing to keep in mind is that this is intended to be mounted on a wall or preferably a ceiling. The router only requires a network cable and you use the included power injector to power the unit. This AP will require some other device to route the traffic from your web provider. Configuration is easy with the Unify controller software installed on your pc. Wait for the AP to power on, load the software on your pc (on the same wired network), and let it look for and provision the AP. You can configure a single combined SSID for 2.4 and 5ghz or separate and configure a guest network if so desired. Once configured, the AP has been running without issue solidly for a few weeks now. I have my PoE injector in my office and plugged into my UPS along with my modem, router, and switch. If the power goes out, all of the wireless and internet access will stay up. Be sure to test all your ethernet cables prior to installing everything. I had multiple issues with the cables I was going to use initially. One cable would only allow a max 100 connection, the other would allow gigabit, but the rj45 connector was able to pull back just enough while connected to cause an intermittent connection. Swapping to higher quality cables solved these issues. I have a 3800 sq ft house in an L shape. This AP is on the second floor in the center of the house. This works well for coverage everywhere and I've even seen coverage in areas where I had little to none previously. I've got it mounted in the ceiling of a hallway next to a smoke detector. It doesn't look too out of place except for the blue glow (which can be turned off). I'd recommend this to anyone that has basic networking and computer knowledge looking for a solid access point. 5 |

I use these cables to connect my pc with the new wireless AC router and modem. They look solidly built, are thicker than your average Ethernet cables and are somewhat stiffer (perhaps due to the double protection layer). Simply wanted the best cables and I think these are it. Cannot say anything on the speed benchmarks, but I think when we get Google fiber the throughput may come in handy. 5 |

I have used possibly hundreds of ethernet cables and these are excellent. 5 |
