20000 Lumen 4K Rb Laser Projector

This was a move up from an Epson 5030ub, so bulb based 1080p to native 4K laser is quite the jump. I’m projecting on a 135” budget 1.0 gain grey screen and the colors, contrast and brightness are spectacular. I sit about 14’ away and the detail and sharpness of the image is so much better than what I was used to. I love that Epson for what it is but this is in a different league. Having only had the projector for a couple of weeks, I’m still playing with different settings and testing various 4K media with my Oppo so still have to spend more time with this to really get to know it. The only con I’ve noticed so far is it can crush some black detail in difficult scenes but I may be able to tease out some image with some adjustment tweaks, not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. Also, my old projector was supposed to have a similar lumen rating and had about 900hr on the bulb but this is significantly brighter. Haven’t put the laser past 60 (50 is default) and won’t need to unless I am keeping some lights on in the room. Last thing is it is much quieter than the old Epson and is mounted right above my head so that is also a big plus, hope it stays this quiet. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own LG projector PB60G is my first and still use till today as daily watching projector in 100” size screen in dark room. I really like this projector because it very small portable but still give good picture quality. However many technology change many of other media player devices now are capable of driving higher resolution beyond what my projector capable. Then i’m looking for upgrade my projector and what i’m looking for now is ULTRA SHORT THROW 4K LASER PROJECTOR. I search through many brand there are some cheap 4k projector but not liked or laser, some Chinese UST 4k laser project but I don’t like Android OS that come with it. Now LG has HU85LA that i’m looking for and still waiting for it’s coming out. So exciting about this projector. 5 |

Using to store/transport a 3500 lumen ultra short throw projector with an integrated mirror.. Pelican Case holds it securely with no worries that it will be jarred in transport or storage.. Build quality is excellent and the foam inserts were easy to customize for the perfect fit. 5 |

Unlike other retailers who are still selling older 500 lumen versions, B&H is shipping the newer 600 lumen version and it is the standard to judge by. Green laser is great. Sharp dot and holds point of aim. I have this on AR at 6'oclock position and it is rock solid and swapping rail insert is super simple. It comes with regular universal and wider piccatiny. I had never used a green laser before. It is indeed easier to see in daylight and one thing I realized is that it is good to have laser in different color when using a red dot scope. Looking through Aimpoint at 2 moa dot, can look like there are two equal dots at certain distances. Important to know which is which for proper compensation. 5 |

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard. 5 |

Bag is just the right size for our new Panasonic PT-VZ580U 5000-Lumen WUXGA 3LCD Projector: holds it in place, easy to get in & out, roomy pockets for cables, remote, user manual, etc, & grip handles or over-the-shoulder strap. 5 |

After purchasing a 6000 lumen video projector that would be subjected to the road, it was a no brainer to choose a Pelican case for maximum protection. The case is waterproof, sturdy and elegant and thanks to the superb recommendations from the B&H staff my financial investment will safe and sound. 5 |

This is a genuine OEM package of an NEC lamp and filters. To save money, I originally purchased a 3rd party replacement lamp at less than half the price, and it seemed fine (if a little dim). Just how dim became ridiculously apparent when I happened to use a 2200-lumen projector which blew away the alleged 5000-lumen 3rd party bulb in brightness! Forget buying a cheap bulb -- if you bought a 5000-lumen projector, get the display you paid for with a genuine NEC bulb. 5 |

Purchased this as a mobile presentation unit after previously using a 3500 lumen Viewsonic projector that was more expensive. This was not only noticeably brighter but also had significantly better color contrast. 5 |
