I've been using it for those times when I just need to have light that is more diffused from my profoto magnum reflector. This discussion sock with fit snugly over the the magnums 13.5 inch opening. Only down side is you will loose almost 1 stop of power.

I love the quality of light produced by the standard Magnum but often left it behind when location shooting due to its' cumbersome size. The OCF Magnum is still a bit awkward to pack, but it is definitely more compact and travel friendly with the well made case that's included. The case includes a strap so that it can be attached to the outside of a bag for convenience.

I have been wanting to purchase this magnum reflector for quite some time and was happy to see that B&H finally carried some in stock. Since purchasing I have already used it on several shoots with much success. This modifier is perfect for enhancing that crisp lighting needed for hard light photography or for when you want to emulate the light of the sun.

I have to confess. This is my second Magnum since I crunched my previous one on a windy day on very hard rocks. Yes, it was sandbagged too. I had to get a replacement because there's nothing like it to help light up bright sunny day, high speed photos with my B1 and B2 lights. I'm going to keep this one inside more now since I've also ordered the newly announced OCF Magnum, which should be easier to transport and pack for location shooting. the extra light that these reflectors provide (plus 1-2 f-stops) is great for edgier portraits in daylight shoots.

Being able to replicate sunlight is a powerful problem solve. And that's what you get with the magnum. With this tool, I'm able to recreate window light any time of day. It's also helpful for lighting sides of buildings, and alleys, for backdrops. In shooting groups, it's also handy for backlighting

This is a very nice headlamp, without two levels of white light, a red light and a flashing red light.  Having the battery pack on the back makes it much easier to balance and the straps are adjustable over a wide range.
