I always buy Apple care. It is one of those things you hope you never need. One time my logic board went bad. The part was no longer available, so Apple replaced it with the latest model. 5 |

I am a mac enthusiast. I live for apple products. Years ago when I got an emac, the logic board died. apparently, the logic board was bad on a series of emacs, mine of which was one. I took my mac to the genius bar and was told it would take weeks. That was unacceptable as I was freelancing as a writer at the time and needed a computer to meet a deadline. I called Apple. Because I had apple care, they paid for me to rent a laptop for the week so I could meet my deadline. When it was determined that the logic boards would be on backorder for an indefinite period of time, an apple rep called me and explained the problem and offered to give me a brand new imac to replace the emac. It had a larger screen, higher ram and more space on the hard drive. That's what I call customer service.I wanted to buy apple care for my macbook only by going through B&H, I saved $60! That's what I call savings. 5 |

I had a MacBook Pro from 2007 that was mainly used for creating/recording music and DJ gigs. That computer was a workhorse that just began to slow down over the last couple years. I decided to go with the Mac Mini this time around as it is portable enough to carry around while being priced well below a new laptop. I couldn’t be happier. clone my old drive in my macbook pro to this one sped up my 2007 macbook pro considerably item was delivered fast and was as advertised brand new. price was a few $ cheaper than other places like newegg or bestbuy or cdw and even ebay vendors 5 |

I use this for photography and design work. It's an upgrade from my 2007 Macbook Pro which was connected to my Eizo monitor. The Mac Pro is a huge improvement. I took out the 3 GB of RAM and put in 24. Also added two 1 TB Barracudas. Will be upgrading to CS5.5, but even with CS3, Photoshop is really fast. And now Aperture actually works. It's very quiet. You just hear a kind of hum which I guess are the fans. I love all the ports that are available on this machine. The connectivity on the laptop left much to be desired. Will still have to get a laptop for traveling, but it's so much more convenient to have a desktop again for day-to-day work. 5 |
