I use this for close-up photos where other flashes blow-out the photo. I have the new Canon G1 X and have not been able to get the adapter yet so I have used this off camera and achieved nice shadow results of shells and rock collections from travels. Plan to use with other small items and flowers come spring, and perhaps portraits. While results have been good, it is a huge & flash and cumbersome for my purposes and on my smallish camera. It will help some when the adapter arrives so I can actually mount it to the camera lens area.

Love the grain for portraits, not so good for landscapes in my 35mm camera. (I used a Contax G1 with 16, 45, and 90).

I had the G1 and it was a great camera, but this one takes it to new heights and is really impressive in its performance, expands its use, and capabilities. A great update to this camera. Great for action shots and studio work. Now, I am tempted to rig it for other endeavors. Best budget cinema camera on the market right now. It meets all my needs and then some.

I have been a dedicated Nikon user since 2008 and for years was sure the D850 would be my next camera but that all changed when I came across the Leica Q2. Despite the Q2 being a very different, and in most respects far more limiting camera, altogether I found myself irresistibly drawn to the Q2 over the D850 and am glad I made the switch. The quality and craftsmanship of the Q2 is truly unparalleled and well worth the high price. The sharpness and clarity of images produced by this camera are the best I've ever experienced, absolutely no distortion or aberrations, with outstanding dynamic range. Couldn't be happier I chose to go with the monochrom version. I don't miss shooting in color and like many who chose the monochrom have found my creativity is now more profoundly expressed. The compact size, light weight & ergonomic appeal were of particular interest when choosing the Q2 over a Nikon DSLR. It's so easy to take anywhere, especially over long distances/periods & draws very little attention. The Q2 is also super easy to operate & utilizes one of the simplest/efficient control layouts. The only drawbacks to the Q2 from my perspective: It's limited to accepting one SD card and has pretty short battery life.

I haven't brought a Sony camera in years. I moved to Nikon for my DSLR in 2008, but wanted something more compact for travel, this camera is a mini version of the Sony A9. A great camera love it. Use it more than my Nikon now. I will soon be moving over to a full frame mirrorless Sony camera.

My very first good camera bag was a Tenba back in 2008. That bag was handed-down to a new photographer last year. Over the years I have bought, used and still own many of the well know camera bags. But I haven't been as happy with a new bag in a long time like I am with this Fulton 16L. I can carry my A7iv, FX3 and some accesories in the main compartment easily and still have a lot of space on the rolltop. The bag low profile and materials are also a plus. The black camo is very subtle and looks very good. Quality is very good and in line with more expensive bags. The only thing I didn't like and had to modify was the velcro on the rolltop. I replaced them with sew in clothes magnets.
