I have an iMac from late 2009 and by bluetooth was not totally compatible with the Magic Track Pad 2. Before ordering the trackpad I researched on the internet, spoke to people at Apple and B&H. What I got was varying opinions. What I concluded was that I should spend the extra money. When they arrived I paired by trackpad to my iMac without the adapter. It worked initially. But when the iMac went to sleep, the pairing was lost. I hooked up the adapter and since then the trackpad and iMac are happily paired. One last comment. Since I bought from B&H and live out of New York State, there was no sales tax. That combined with the lower price for the trackpad at B&H, I saved money versus driving to the closet Apple Store. This spigot adapter will allow the mounting of the Lowel Pro Light to 2009 and earlier stands manufactured and branded as Impact. The spigot tip to older Impact stands were slightly non-standard and Lowel Pro Lights and similar devices did not properly and securely mount. 5 |

I bought this adapter to work with my new Samsung SSD for my Mac Pro early 2009, when it comes to Mac I really trust OWC products, and this one so far works great, I had bought another adapter for my SSD and it just wouldn't fit . I also like that this adapter uses the SSD's port directly to doc with the Mac pro's PCIe port. 5 |

You may want to consider a Bluetooth adapter for your headphones rather than this. They are harder to loose and more convenient. 5 |
