Updated from a late 2009 iMac. This thing is a screamer. Very fast. Handles my large digital illustrations and videos with ease. 5 |

I thought about buying this bag back in 2009 when I was in college. I’ve gone through so many different iterations of camera bags and set ups. Had I bought this bag then I would’ve saved so much money. For a single camera, multi lens shooter this bag holds it all comfortably. Even doubles as a bag for your personal items. When you’re out in the field I would consider buying the larger version if I started to outgrow this bag. 5 |

I used to be an avid photographer back in 2009 and have been so busy and broke that I haven't had the time since then to purchase any new gadgets. My last camera was a Nikon F4, so as you can imagine how much catching up I have to do! This camera is easy to use. Every function on the dial explains to you what the feature is but, you'll have to figure out on your own how to use it. The kit lense that came with it is decent and the autofocus on this camera is amazing. It might just be my poor eyesight but the viewfinder is blurry. Maybe there's are settings for it I just haven't fiddled with yet. The reason why I bought this camera is to use during my travels to Asia this summer with better specs than my phone camera to use. :) I do recommend buying a screen protector because it's quite large and doesn't have a 360 swivel for protection. 5 |

I bought this lens on March 2009 and took it on a vacation to Panama (Central America). The lens/K20D had occasional jamming (near the infinity mark) of the AF system while shooting at a beach. I thought that the problem might have been caused by the lens/camera getting very warm under the tropical sun. After returning to Califonia, the problem became increasingly annoying over time and clearly heat had nothing to do with the jamming. I finally sent the lens back to PENTAX USA (on Oct 6 2009). The lens was returned on Dec 17 2009. The repair description states 'replaced HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor)'. Repair was covered by the 1-year PENTAX warranty. The lens looks fine but more testing needs to be done, this time also using a K-7. I have not read complaints regarding the SDM system for the DA*300mm/F4. If you observe jamming return the lens at once! (I took too long as my copy saw only occasional use). Otherwise I am happy with this telephoto lens. I have been able to take some very sharp and contrasty photos handholding the camera! I would hate to part with it again and I hope that the new SDM will last. 5 |
