Great upgrade for my 21.5 inch iMac (2017, 4K).

I purchased the 24 iMac as an upgrade to my 21.5 ten year old iMac. What a difference. I went with the 16mb of RAM which, along with the M1 chip, has increased operating speed immeasurably. My main use of the iMac is processing pictures of nature. I couldn't recommend this or any other iMac more so.

I was looking for ram to upgrade my 2017 iMac 21.5inch from 8gb to 32gb and B&H was very helpful in making sure I got the right product and assisting me with all my needs. The iMac runs so much faster now!!!

Excellent RAM for the 2012 21.5 iMac. Increased my RAM from 12 GB to 20 GB and works like a charm. All my software are functioning more smoothly and increasing my productivity.

I recently bought new a 24 iMac to replace her well used 2015 21.5 iMac which was functioning but becoming a burden and was just too sluggish. The new 24 iMac M1, 16GB, 1T is awesome and should serve her well for many years. As I was setting it up and transferring her data I was astounded by the performance and frankly the ease of transitioning to the new device. She is delighted with it.

Purchased this card for my workhorse (L 2017 iMac 21.5 4K) in order to expand storage capacity and to boost speed. Installation was quite easy and straightforward. In the end, I doubled my capacity but the maximum speed is 2500 instead of the advertised 3500. I'm not sure exactly why (could be limitation of my hardware but this is definitely faster than my native SSD (1500). Overall, I'm happy with this upgrade. B&H's next day delivery didn't disappoint too.

I put this in my 21.5” 2019 iMac using a Sintech adapter and it’s obviously a huge improvement over the stock Fusion drive (24GB custom NVMe drive paired with a 1TB 5400 2.5” HDD). Note that an NVMe drive is only compatible with iMacs that originally came with a Fusion drive. Also if you replace the HDD with a SATA SSD (which I did as well), you can’t combine it with this NVMe drive into a Fusion drive, so you’ll have 2 separate logical drives to work with. Finally, the iMac disassembly and install is ridiculously complex. But for me it’s worth it, and running beautifully so far.

I have a 2010 and 2015 27 iMacs, so I use this cable in conjunction with the older iMac as a second display in target display mode. Plug the cable and boot both machines, press cmd+F2 on the old iMac and presto, dual display system (note: in order to use the newer iMac as an externar display you need a different cable, but with the older models it works just fine).
