2011 Suburban Ac Light Flashes

Telescope is nice and light and very easy to set up. Even with suburban light pollution, I've been able to see amazing detail of the moon and even able to see Jupiter. Still struggling to get good photos, but that's more my phone than the attachment. 5 |

Easy to take out at a moment's notice to stargaze under urban/suburban light pollution as a person who wears glasses. I have used them handheld and was quickly able to see double stars and star clusters in the summer sky. Saw epsilon lyrae as two stars, but couldn't resolve into the quad. I love that the lens covers on both the front and back sides are attached to the binoculars or to the basic neck strap. Makes taking them out for short viewing windows hassle-free. I don't need to worry about where I set them down and finding them again in the dark. Since getting these binoculars I've gone out onto my porch, even in not the best of conditions, just to see what I can spot. It has made stargazing fun and accessible again. Highly recommend for someone looking for a decent pair of beginner stargazing binoculars. 5 |

I've been running these flashes in my Photobooths since 2010 - still the very best AC slave flashes I've managed to find. Recycle time 5 secs (fine for Photobooth application); Consistent output - most flashes are consistently the the same output (I've tried some that fluctuate between flashes) Fires off flawlessly 240 flashes / hour all night long; The included sync cord is a little flimsy (I broke a few of them in early years) but I hardwire a sync cord to my hotshoe and never have problems; Although eventually lose power & effectiveness over a few years, I probably get 50,000 flashes out of them. The only con for me: they're 110V, and where I live we need 220-240V. I use an AC adapter, works well. GREAT value. 5 |

So far I've only used this for portraits, but I'm looking forward to adding it to my wedding gear in 2011. *warning* This thing is HUGE, but gives off light that resembles natural window light. The only downfall I see right now is it's size in certain locations. 5 |

I have been using this lens on my K-3 in urban and suburban settings to capture a wide variety of subjects including people on the streets, cityscapes, and architectural details. It has not disappointed. I became interested when I read that Pentax had re-worked the MTF curve to better match the higher resolution of their new sensors. I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend. 5 |
