It took me forever to finally upgrade my old 2012 MacBook Pro as the newer one's have been denuded of their SD card slot and older USB 2.0 sockets. I had heard rumor that getting a smaller side dock was a mediocre solution, but didn't want to carry all of my adapters during a trip to the Caribbean, so this one made the most sense to me. I must say I was quite pleased with it, so much so that I didn't really notice it much, as it just worked without flaw. If you are running one of the 2014 or newer MacBook Pro laptops, I highly recommend it! 5 |

I’ve been rocking a 2012 MacBook Pro retina that was on its last leg and desperately needed to upgrade. I have no idea why I waited so long. The MacBook Air M2 16gb RAM is a speedster, makes zero noise, and hasn’t heated up at all when having multiple programs, tabs, etc. up at once. I’m using it mainly for data analysis and creating music, and not once has it had a hiccup. I was hesitant to order from B&H since I wasn’t familiar with them, but customer service was ultra responsive. I was worried about returns if there was an hardware issue, but they reassured me I could exchange it if something was wrong. Also great to get it shipped quickly and with a discount compared to other retailers. I would definitely recommend them if you’re in the market. 5 |

I purchased this drive to upgrade a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro. It works as advertised. My machine boots to the desktop in 15 seconds; total load time (including startup apps) is 27 seconds. A HUGE improvement over a mechanical drive. 5 |

I had a MacBook Pro mid 2012 and wanted to upgrade and the difference is night and day. First of all I love the finger touch feature that allows you to unlock the laptop.
