When I first switched to Fuji in 2014 I was sure although I never held the camera (X-T1). When I finally did, I sold all my *other camera gear and took the leap. I have never looked back and this new camera continues the tradition of me not wanting to look back. Photography first. 5 |

I'd been looking at this camera ever since I saw it unveiled at CES 2014. I was primarily interested in having the newest BIONZ sensor, and this is by far the least expensive instance of Sony's newest technology. Being an early adopter aside, the major features that make this a pretty amazing camera are it's lock-on focusing, which makes it infinitely simpler to take video of moving things and the 40x zoom which is actually kind of absurd once you get to play with it. I would absolutely recommend this camera to anyone and I would say that it makes a number of very complicated photo and video techniques incredibly simple to do. 5 |

It worked with my iMac. My 2014 Mac has a usb 3.0 bus which the Avaya says it prefers over a 2.0 for full powering. There is no Avaya app; you don't need one because the included remote control does all the zooming and panning. 3rd party Zoom teleconference application software saw it as a camera and a mic. Easy peasy. So ignore all the stuff about checking for a firmware update and needing Windows to do that! I have not tried the Avaya as a HDMI input on my BMD Atem mini yet. I don't really need it for that. I needed it to replace the poor built in camera in my older Mac. 5 |

Replacing old one purchased in 2014 that will no longer trigger camera. 5 years use 2014-2019 - not too shabby. I was scared it was the camera. I use for night sky and time lapse projects. Getting ready for meteor showers at end of July. Thanks. 5 |

I purchased this camera on March 14, 2014. The quality of the images are razor sharp. This DSLR has the same characteristics that the T2i had with the exception of feature of the wireless romote. When I had mounted the STM lens to the camera I saw even better results. 5 |

Even though this camera was released in 2014, the camera is still a great performer by todays standards. It has very good image quality, a proven autofocus system, and great ergonomics. It is well suited for both professional work or the casual user that wants to upgrade to full-frame. 5 |

This was purchased 1st quarter 2014. The tripod is a solid mainstay in my camera arsenal. It's larger than most when folded--measured 2' from top of plate to bottom, but can handle with ease a DSLR with a Tokina wide angle lens, or a Tamron 300mm telephoto in addition to an "L" bracket. It has been angled various degrees for those "tight & challenging" spots to "get that shot" and has held up graciously. The only two suggestions: an improved and more precise manual, and second, this may just be me unknowing or my particular copy, but even when screwed tightly with an L-shaped Hexagon Head Ball screwdriver, the plate still "wiggles" a little. Outside of that, I would definitely recommend investing in this tripod. 5 |
