2017 Best Critical Listening Headphones

I have used Audio-Technica headphones in the past and have been very pleased with them, but these new M50X are stellar! I use them for critical listening, and also silent electric bass guitar practice. Fabulous Fidelity across the entire frequency response range. You can pay a lot more for something else if you'd like, but you won't get more. Highly Recommended!

I use these for critical listening and they work great! The sound is crisp and I can hear details in the music I've missed for years. For the price, they can't be beat! I got them on Cyber Monday for $ and I can honestly say there isn't a better set of headphones for that price out there! After 24 hours or so of burning them in, they opened up even more. They are a little tight on the head at first, but after the first 5 hours or so I didn't even notice them on my head. Sennheiser gives you a 2 Year Warranty for broken parts, and even after the warranty expires, its really easy to find/replace parts (like the ear cushions). I would recommend these to anybody on a budget that wants really nice and detailed sounding cans. They might not compete with the $400-$500 sets, but I could NEVER shell out that much money in the first place for headphones.

Best headphones on the market. Lightweight and I forget I have them on. Best part is I can hear everything around me while I’m listening to my music. Range is really good as well

Nearly 15,000 listening hours on this set of headphones. Best investment I've made in my life. And I can only imagine what the future holds beyond the next two models that are out.

Best headphones I own.

I am using those from my processor to 2 sets of amps for Critical listening and home theatre. They removed some background noise that I had been fighting with even after adding an expensive power conditioner. Furthermore, their quality is excellent and the sound is excellent with better bass but also christaline highs. They replaced and totally outperformed "audiophile" cables costing more than twice from a known brand (starts with the A...) as a result I am replacing all my 11 channels with those, little by little... Very happy and impressed.

The SRH 1840 are use for critical listening to mix and mastering audio material. They are very neutral with a well define low end. At this time they are not fully burned in, but the translation between phones to speakers is great. Audiophiles will love them for their good retain price.

The sound is crystal clear and this headphone amp reveals nuances that are simply necessary for critical listening. Further, the unit is rock solid with a small footprint, and flexibility options.
