2017 Favorite Stereo Receivers Poll

Mobile DJ since 2001. Previous owner of Shure and Sennheiser systems. Have used Audix R61 receivers weekly (mostly at weddings) since early 2017, they are rock solid units! TRUE DIVERSITY (dual tuners) indeed! Have not had a SINGLE signal drop out indoors or outdoors, (64MHz frequency band is awesome) even in the super busy RF environment of Southern California. We typically use 2-3 units at the same time. The range is outstanding also, we are often about 100 ft away (advertises a huge 450 ft range, haven't had to do that..) and with up to 200 guests between receiver and bodypacks, still no issues. Very easy setup, and has great features like locking the transmitter so no accidental 'mutes' occur. R61 has a massive amount of tunable frequencies if you need them. The construction is metal and quite solid. Shure and Sennheiser rule the mobile DJ world of wireless, but after speaking with Audix at NAMM 2017, I went with their system and have not looked back. I have since had two other colleagues see/hear the system, and although they were lifetime Shure users, bought an Audix 60 series system. The few reviews you will find rave about them as well. I think it is the current sleeper system that doesn't get a lot of attention, but performs extremely well. Highly recommend. The only downside is the R61 receivers, and the 60 series in general, are of course more expensive than the '40' series, and not typically in stock...anywhere. It takes a few extra days to get to you but it is worth the wait to ensure perfect events, especially wedding ceremonies, with rock solid signal thanks to the true diversity dual tuners. 5 |

Use these for running lavs receivers into a mixer/recorder. No problems, but you have to be aware that it doesnt work for some devices depending on mono/stereo issues. For example this doesnt work to run a Sennheiser G4 RX unit into a single XLR input- that requires a stereo mini to split XLR channels. 5 |

Perfect replacement chord for some stereo receivers; in my case an RS 700 Yamaha receiver. Also works for some Fender guitar amplifiers. Did the job perfectly. 5 |

This has become my favorite keyboard because of the feel of the keyboard itself, the sculpted keys, smart backlight and effortless Bluetooth connectivity. Switching between up to three systems is effortless. Paired with the MX Master 3 mouse, I am saving desk space, I don't need USB ports to plug in receivers and lost or mismatched receivers are a thing of the past. No more batteries eventually leaking electrolytes into my devices since this keyboard can be recharged. 5 |

You could pay more for other high end receivers, but why would you? 5 |

For some reason (hard use) the cable between the poll and the rocorder seems to always take the worst of it. This is the only off-the-shelf cable that holds up to the abuse. In short, buy it. It will save your butt time and time again. 5 |

Loving everything about this tote. Will be taking it on its first plane ride later this week. Will also use it for all my poll workers’ info early next month. Its light weight, roomy, and the padded strap (love that it has only ONE strap) is perfect. 5 |

I use the product at the swimming poll, but it also connects my other Sonos speakers at different environments with the same songs or different ones. Very smart. 5 |

Great mic to set up on a boom poll and film with my Sonys and Dana Dolly 5 |

This mic worked great on location with our video camera. I use it on a boom poll connected to a longer wire and also to our Sennheiser Evolution G2 wireless system. This is a great product for the money. If you are a photojournalist looking to get a short shotgun mic this is it. You can connect it to your camera, a boom poll, a stand and even a Manfrotto 175F Justin Spring Clamp. If you are outside look into getting the Dead Cat Windshield for it. I would do this for every mic you use outside. 5 |
