2018 Touchscreen Laptop Reviews

Anyone that reviews this saying it doesn't fit or that the touchscreen doesn't work is wrong. It obviously fits perfect, designed by Sony for the a7R V, and all my touchscreen functions work. I suspect the reviewer that said they don't work had touchscreen turned off.. Hey, it happens!! Anyway, highly recommended!!

I saw a couple of good reviews on line and bought this to supplement a 5.2 Atomos Shinobi I love but I need a larger screen for field anamorphic focusing but wanted touchscreen, full HD rez and LUTS. I was prepared to be let down as I've used but quickly upgraded from cheap monitors in the past. This unit is excellent. Screen is quality, well calibrated out of the box. And to get touchscreen/HDMI in and out, 4K input support, LUTS (yes LUTS and I loaded my custom BlackMagic LUTS with no problems), full suite of display, focus and exposure tools, zoom, 3 custom buttons and Sony L battery support which I use by the caseful is a winner. It's untouchable (haha) at this price range and build quality is also better than I expected. It obviously is not rugged like a SmallHD or have the sexy menu UI of Atomos but it works and you can buy several of these for one of there units. Atomos does not even have a 7 monitor only option.

Using a windows 8 laptop that is not touchscreen can be frustrating at times. Adding this really handy gadget totally changed my Windows 8 experience and now my laptop is really fun to use!! I definitely recommend this product it was pretty easy to set up and works really nicely.

I purchased this monitor on the deal zone. I use it with a laptop. It's very well constructed and just the right size for me. The display screen is very good. It does not have a touchscreen, however excellent monitor for those of us who are not needing a touchscreen. I would highly recommend this monitor.

I think I've purchased about 3 of these - for home computer, work computer, laptop, and recommended to a friend or two. For me, it's better than a mouse because: 1) you don't move your wrist around, you move your fingers instead. So for me, no wrist stress no repetitive motion problems. Can't say that it avoids carpel tunnel, but I think if you keep your wrist straight it can. 2) Less desk space required, and no bumping into other things on the desk. 3) More precise for things like cad. The movements are independent of the button pushing, so it's easy to be precise. I've used this on Linux and various versions of Windows, all work great. The best combination? A laptop that has a touchscreen. They you can pick between the touchscreen with a stylus for drawing, and this for other work.

This laptop is my main computer. It replaced a 2018 MBP. I bought this computer a year after it came out and got a great deal on it. It is so fast that I wish I had bought it sooner. Next time I won't wait five years to replace my main computer.

Needed it to recover data from 2 Mac laptop drives (a 2018 Mac AIr and 2019 Mac pro). It read both drives with no problem. Just remember that you will be able to see the files but you need to change the permission on each file before you actually can move or open the files. That is a Mac thing.

I bought my first Peak Design bag in early 2018 and used it for 6 years as my only laptop, ipad, camera bag. It went everywhere with me. The bag held up remarkably well and when I did start to experience an issue with one of the zippers, Peak Design replaced the bag at no cost. Can't ask for a better product or better service.

I purchased this for my 2018 Macbook Air. Attaching the screen to the laptop was extremely easy. After installing the drivers it was a very simple setup. Once I got it all dialed in it has been seamless. Definitely recommend this product for working at home or even if you want to surf while watching Netflix at the same. time. Also, it's very portable!

I replaced a 2018 laptop moving up to 4TB mostly for image data. The new M3 CPU is fast. The transition was easy - used a backup to bring everything over - easy. Only one issue which is that I use Windows 10 with Parallels. WIndows 10 is not supported with M3 chip. Recommendatiopn - upgrade to Windows11 before transitioning. Save your self a lot of trouble. New laptop exceeds expectations, highly recommended.
