When the 20th century desktop speakers my son bequeathed to me when he left home after college finally died, he helped me decide to take the leap into the 21st century with an Apple HomePod (2nd Generation, White). I'm happily surrounded by the walled garden of apple devices and this made so much sense. After unboxing and plugging in the device, immediately my MacBook Pro, My iPhone and my Apple Watch struck up a friend;;y conversation with their ne cousin, welcoming the HomePod to the family and connecting with it, making it feel right at home. And we've been enjoying the amazingly rich sound (I like bass) and easy access and interoperability, ever since.
