Using this to decode an NDI source to a projector in Church services with live stream. We previously were sending the Presentation Laptops screen to the OBS computer via NDI, and used a separate proprietary wireless video feed to the main projector. Got this so we can use the same NDI source for both and eliminate the wireless projector feed. It is working well. One thing to be aware of: the projector will display will go blank in a couple of seconds if there is no video and audio activity when using NDI Screen Capture as the source. This can be an issue during power points with static screens. You can set the decoder to keep the last thing displayed on the screen or allow it to go blank. I prefer it to go blank so I know something is wrong right away. You can also resolve by making sure the NDI Screen Capture is using an active audio source (like the microphone). This decoder has been reliable and is reasonably priced. Perhaps other decoders won't have the inactivity issue but they are also more expensive. This has not been a show stopper for us. 5 |

This thing worked great. This is just what I needed to get my screen up and another screen to my projector up at the same time in my sanctuary. This was great. 5 |

Good little mount. The ability to rotate the screen from landscape to portrait is what sold me on this. I will observe that you need to 'play' with the screen to orient it properly... there's no hard stop at 0 degrees, 90 degrees, etc. But with a moment's effort you'll find that this mount does the job. 5 |

I use this base plate for occasional tripod use and everyday mounting of a QD shoulder strap and wrist strap system. The plate integrates well with the shape of the X-Pro3, including the grip, but does not add a lot of weight. The balance of the camera on the base plate is excellent, as with all RRS plates. The fit is so good that it feels like it was designed alongside the camera. The only issue is that the screen cannot be tilted past 135 degrees (short of the full 180 degrees that the X-Pro3 is capable of) to allow room for the integrated Arca-Swiss-style plate. I can see why they designed it this way, since otherwise the base plate would need to be larger or offset in a way that would detract from integrating with the shape of the X-Pro3. It doesn’t bother me at all because of how I use the rear screen, but anyone who relies on full extension of the display may not like this design. 5 |
