I use this lens in all sorts of weather. Recently, I was on a 23-foot skiff in Head Harbor Passage between Maine and New Brunswick, calm seas but -11F, shooting seabirds through the sea smoke. This was my first real test of the lens. We were able to get close enough to Bonaparte's Gulls and Long-tailed ducks to take some of the best photos I ever shot. It was a tough choice between this lens with a 1.4x extender and a UV haze filter or a 100-400 zoom. Given the tightness of the lens, I was quite pleased with its performance in such cold. I did end up mostly shooting in manual mode. 5 |

I used to think Really Right Stuff (RRS) was the be all and end all of Arca compatible camera and lens plates and other Arca compatible miscellany. This is now the second Kirk replacement foot I've purchased. Quality, fit and finish appear as good as similar RRS products I've owned. Moreover, the Kirk products are usually a few $$ cheaper than RRS counterparts. I'm using this foot.with the 800 mm f/6.3 S Nikkor. The foot is clearly well machined and very sturdy solidly attaching to the lens. I thought the $23 "SG" upgrade at about 20% premium over the standard foot was a bit pricey. I do find it surprisingly more comfortable than I'd imagined carrying the lens bare handed with the Z9 attached. The texture upgrade renders the "handle" function a much more secure feel compared to smoothly finished aluminum and, in my opinion, far less likely to slip out of one's hand with handling. That $23 represents only 0.35% of the price of the lens ($6,496.95) and from this perspective, a relatively small investment to minimize an expensive piece of glass slipping out of one's sweaty hand while handling. The foot length enables easy balance of the lens in my Foto Pro E6-H Eagle series gimbal head cradle with metal to metal contact along the entire length of the cradle's clamp with either my Z9 or Z6. I could not be happier with this replacement foot. 5 |

No other machine can offer 40,000 cubic feet/min output at this price. Love having a wireless remote control. 5 |

I like to keep my kit small, so these shot bags provide more weight per cubic inch than sandbags and are smaller, so they win out, in spite of being more expensive than sandbags. Quality construction. No surprises. 5 |

After years of cubic bags I ran out of ideas for lugging my stuff around. The interior space is flexible. Added inserts are available. Just wish there were tripod straps, although the rings are available for external attachment, and that will be just fine. 5 |
