I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

If you are installing an internal Solid State Drive to your desktop computer, you'll need this SATA wire unless you are able to scavenge one off another attached device that you no longer use. It attaches to the back of the SSD (or other SATA device) and to the mother board.

The USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive adapter cable w/UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD / HDD works with my Windows laptop but it seemed like I needed a USB 3.0 port to provide enough power because when plugged into a USB 2.0 it would not light up. No special software or drivers required - the hard drive showed up as another drive when I looked at My Computer. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

We all could use a speedy all around drive like this. I use it in a dock drive or just plug in a quick adapter SB 3.0 to 2.5 SATA III Drive Adapter Cable.

I recently upgraded my Home Lab server Dell PowerEdge R620 with the PNY 2TB CS900 SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The installation was a breeze and the drive was recognized immediately by the server. One of the standout features of the PNY 2TB CS900 is its fast read and write speeds. The drive has significantly improved the overall performance of my server, with applications and data transfers completing in a fraction of the time it used to take. In addition to its speed, the 2TB capacity of the drive has provided me with ample storage space for my server's needs. I no longer have to worry about running out of storage and can focus on other aspects of my setup. Another aspect I appreciate about the PNY 2TB CS900 is its reliability. The drive has been running smoothly for several months now and I have not experienced any issues or downtime. Overall, I highly recommend the PNY 2TB CS900 SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD to anyone looking to upgrade their server's storage. The drive offers excellent performance, reliability, and value for its price.

Bought it to use with a Sabrent 2.5 SATA to USB 3.0 Tool-Free External Hard Drive Enclosure (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1412793-REG/sabrent_ec_uasp_2_5_sata_ssd_to_usb.html) - this is a fantastic way to have an affordable 1 TB portable SSD Drive.

I have tested this SATA to USB cable using several different SATA disks including regular 2.5" spinning disks and 2.5" SSD disks. The cable comes in zip lock bag with a little instruction book. The cable is very strong feeling and has a good amount of flex. The cable is long enough that I can connect it to a USB port on the bottom of my normal size PC tower and have the other end with the drive sit on top of the tower. The SATA end of the cable has 4 tiny pin holes in it which on close inspections with a drive connected, one of them has an LED in it. The LED stays lit to indicate that it is working and then flashes for disk activity. When connected, the computer detected the cable and attached drive very quickly. Transferring data to the drive was very quick and consistent in speed throughout the process. I have confirmed that this cable only works with 2.5" drives as the product describes. I guess USB just doesn't have enough power for full size 3.5" drives, which isn't a flaw of the product but larger hard drives. Great simple cable to get data from 2.5" drives. Instant portable hard drive cable or help in recovery of files laptop/SSD hard drives. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Pretty simple little cradle for 2.5 SATA drive. There are a couple of pieces of foam stuck to the lower half at the back and the upper half, likely intended to help hold the drive in place once you snapped the two halves together. The one at the back had to be removed in order to slide the drive in parallel to the connector. Otherwise, trying to force the drive past the foam looks like it could stress the SATA connector (both on the drive and the cradle). Simply put the foam back in place after the drive was in place. Overall, seems like a good product.
