28 Computer Monitor Reviews

I have been using this monitor for almost a year now and haven't had a single issue. For context I have gone through 6 monitors and non of them were Asus. Every monitor I bought before cheep or expensive had issues that made them unusable. I was hesitant at first to buy the VG27AQ because of some bad reviews but after only buying monitors with better reviews and recommendations I decide to try it out and it was perfect. I use my computer for a lot of different things including video/photo editing, gaming, cad, YouTube and this monitor can do it all. Having 1440p was perfect for 27 inches and 165hz instead of 240hz was perfect since my computer couldn't maintain 240hz at 1440p on pervious monitors. I don't know why I was so skeptical of Asus when choosing my monitor, given that the first computer I built comprised of all Asus parts excluding the ssd and chassis. I feel like they get bad credit especially in reviews but I think it's just because they have so many products and the demand is so high. The best thing about this monitor is that it put my full confidence in Asus and I am planning on buying an Asus laptop with the same screen spec to pair up with my AMAZING monitor! Thank you Asus, you have made your place in my heart. P.S. If anyone was wondering what laptop I am referring to it's the new ROG Zephyrus G15 Ultra Slim rtx3080 and specifically moonlight white because OMG it looks so good! 5 |

When I upgraded my computer I purchased a monitor that didn’t have a webcam. After looking at different reviews I decided to try the Logitech C920s. I’m happy with results for what I need it for. The only thing I would like to see more control of is the color adjustment. 5 |

Great monitor. The other reviews are strange and do not make sense. 5 |

I saw plenty of reviews saying the autofocus was Ok, nothing special but with 28-80mm EF kit lens it's much better than I was lead to believe. True, it's not quite as fast as a native MFT lens but that's expected. I've also been using this with an M42 adapter (with a little electrical tape strategically placed so as not to short the contacts) and several vintage lens and it's also been working great. If I had one nitpick is that there a wee bit of play when the adapter is mounted on the camera. Nothing too bad, but it's there. Otherwise the build quality is great and the price is way, WAY better than that other brand. Would recommend to a friend. 5 |

I've retired from my gigs as a professional photographer, but still appreciate quality equipment. One of my most used lenses was the excellent 28-70mm f2.8 AFS, but that lens met an untimely end when it popped out of my open camera bag as I jumped down from a lift I was using to photograph a charity event. I seriously considered having the 28-70mm AFS repaired, but also knew that I would appreciate the wide end of the 24-70 VR. I had never made the switch to the G version of the 24-70 because the wider end of that lens would have been a step down in quality compared to the 28-70. Based on the reviews, which all said that the 24-70 VR was much better at the wide end, I decided to give it a try. I had read many of the reviews of the 24-70 VR, and so had an idea of what to look for when evaluating the lens. Many reviews complained of softer images at shorter focusing distances and of significant focus shift. Several reviewers also stated that when attempting to fine tune the AF of their lens, they came up with significantly different values for the wide and long ends of the zoom. The individuals that gave the lens rave reviews seemed to have received lenses that were essentially spot on when checking AF fine tune, and didn't show enough focus shift to be concerned about in actual shooting. I'm happy to report that my lens tested spot on with extremely accurate AF when checking fine tune. I didn't see any difference when testing the wide or tele ends of the zoom. I also didn't see any focus shift at my normal shooting distances. Image quality is an improvement over my 28-70, but the most significant difference comes from the extremely accurate and consistent AF, along with the vibration reduction. I have no doubts that this lens will significantly improve my keeper rate for the types of photography I intend to use it for. Highly recommended. 5 |

Saw some reviews that said the Tamron 17-28 was sharper. I used to own the Tamron and In my opinion that simply isn't true. The Tamron is nice but this lens is sharper, goes a little wider and feels like it's built much better. The zoom and focus wheel are very smooth and the autofocus is snappy just like you would expect from a newer lens. I don't do video much but for photography in real estate and special events this lens will be perfect. 5 |
