This is my second WD 1 TB drive, and I use them to both store and backup photos from my MacBook Pro (with solid-state storage). Even with lots of RAW files, the transfer rate seems fast. It is small, and easily stored when not in use. There is nothing about this drive that I would change. 5 |

I do not use this drive for gaming. I use it for photos. Drive comes from WD formatted as XFAT,. This means it can be used on a Windows machine of a MAC. Usually person using the drive has to format it to XFAT themselves. WD did this so it was compatible for my needs right out of the box. Great time saver. 5 |

I usually buy WD Blacks in the 2TB versions and they've always been good performing and reliable workhorses. Since the pricing has come down so much on these traditional hdd units in recent years, I chose to get a 6TB version this time to hold my photo and video media. This was installed in a Sabrent fan cooled USB enclosure, just like the rest of my WD Black drives, and hooked into my Windows 10 system equipped Dell Desktop. Formatted it as an NTFS file system drive and it's working extremely well. Quiet and fast, I'd highly recommend this drive if you desire a more traditional hdd unit with a larger capacity. 5 |

This is larger than my WD Passport 1TB portable drive. In fact, it can hold 2 WD 1TB Passports, OR a 2TB and a 1TB portable drive. No padding, just a firm soft case for protection. Good quality materials, and stitching. I wish it was a custom fit for my Portable HDs. Smaller would be better. 5 |

This unit is my third WS 2TB portable drive and they have been very reliable for me. My only disappointment with this unit is that WD did not include a soft case with this unit. 5 |
