300 Dpi Thermal Label Printer

Easy to setup. The quality of both the hardware and software is excellent. The printer works flawlessly with our iPhones and our desktop PC. We pretty much do all duplex printing/copying/scanning. Love the single pass duplex ADF scanner, it never jams. The 600 DPI scanner resolution is great. Also the OCR scan gives me the searchable & annotatable PDFs that I need. My previous printer's reversing duplex scanner jammed more often than not. Also, the 600 DPI ADF scanner resolution is a vast improvement over my previous printer's 300 DPI resolution. Some other manufacturers tout their flatbed scanner resolution and don't mention the fact that their ADF scanner resolution is still limited to 300 DPI. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This label printer was simple to set up and get started with. I love that it auto-senses the size of the labels when you load them, so you don't have to configure the software for the labels you select. Switching rolls of labels is fairly simple. This is a direct thermal label printer, so the labels do fade over time, especially if exposed to sunlight (compared to the longer-lasting, thermal transfer labels from much more expensive printers). The labels look fresh and crisp when newly printed and are great for printing postage or shipping labels. The compact size means it's always ready to go without taking up much desk space. Great value and a quality product! 5 |

I am a professional photographer who has a lot of old negatives and slides. I had an 20+ year old Epson scanner that I paid over $* for. It did an OK job but was slow and big. I did a lot of research and thought about a film only scanner. The problem is most only do 35mm and are expensive. The first scan I did with my iMac looked fantastic. I can't image needing more than this one. Super sharp and good detail in highlight and shadow areas. I guess with technology getting cheeper this is the results, you a get scanner for less than $200. The software is OK. I use the home mode and it defaults to 4x6 at 300 DPI. But it automatically puts a crop around all the images and you have to go through and tell the software if you want to scan larger. I usually do 11x17 @ 300 DPI. I would say that takes a little over a minute to scan. I'll do a few each night and I already have several hundred scanned. I save as a TIF. Color files are about 50 MB and B&W about 17MB at the 11x17 @300DPI. 5 |

Good entry level thermal. Can verify heat out to 300 yards! I'd say 100% recognition at 120-150 yards. 5 |

I use this film to make silkscreen positives. I use it with an inkjet printer at 2880 dpi to create 30 lpi CMYK halftone screens. I am limited to 30 lpi because of my silkscreen mesh not the printer or film. Keep in mind the product is slightly opaque, I use a custom ICC profile and have not used the profile provided by Pictorico. 5 |
