I'm very happy with this head. It's a great alternative to the similar discontinued 460MG head. I personally like it better. I'm also using the Manfrotto 323 quick release adapter. This is an excellent strong well designed minimalist 3-way head. Perfect for my DSLR landscape needs.

I have a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod with the 323 RC2 quick release which I love. It's simple and sturdy. When I bought my new Slik Pro Pod monopod I wanted to be able to mount my camera without jumping through hoops so I got this Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter for the Pro Pod. Now I can swap the camera from one to the other in seconds. Plus I now have another plate to put on my other camera so everything works with everything else. The 323 RC2 system is my favorite as it is very sturdy, connects in less than a second and has a lock to prevent accidental release. Plus the price is excellent when compared to Arca-Swiss or even Gitzo. If you are already using the 323 RC2 system you'll enjoy the convenience of using the same mount for all your equipment. If you haven't tried the 323 RC2 system yet, I suggest you check it out. Great value for a quality product.

I bought the Manfrotto 323 RC2 System to stack on my vintage Bogen 3035 tripod. The 'quick release on that tripod is very sturdy but bulky and quite old-school. Now by adding the 323 RC2 System and 200PL-14 Plate to my tripod, I can quickly change lenses and cameras that I've equipped with additional 200PL-14 plates. Now that I've standardized on this QR system, no more fumbling around and wasting time when switching from tripod to monopod. Oh, and the connections are quick to make as well as secure and sturdy. I love that there is a locking mechanism that serves to prevent accidentally releasing the plate and all the expensive gear attached to it. I would definitely buy this again. Sometimes it's the little things that make life so much better!

I got this quick release system after I realize the poor design by Manfrotto's 323 RC, which interferes with their own monopod. The Oben design fixed the extrusion of pivot screw of release lever, enable you to mate the quick release system with tripod/monopod that got larger flat area. I really appreciate the carefulness to put a simple design together, thus enabling a perfect fit of supporting equip that can be enhanced with a quick release system.

I use the 323 RC2 System Quick Release with 200PL-14 Plate by Manfrotto ,on a monopad(manfrotto) for shooting sports. This item has worked very well,for the applacation.

This is the second one of these I have purchased as my photography changes. �First I modify these by adding a:�323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter so that the QR is the same on all my tripods. �I use this head with a Tamron 150-600 and a Canon 100-400 with a Canon 80D and a Canon 6D Mk II. �You can't ask for a better support. �I have also started using it with Pluto Trigger and could not be happier.

For quick family trips on the go where we needed a portable tripod for group shots, mounting binos (including digiscoping with iPhones) and video, I originally purchased a Slik Sprint Pro III, primarily due to its travel-friendly weight (2.1 lbs) and usable height of 62. Nevertheless I found the stability sorely lacking. For the same price, I decided to step up to the Pro AL-323 and found its additional 0.8 lbs and 2.5" folded length well worth it. Besides doubling the load capacity (8.8 lbs. vs. 4.4 lbs.) it was much easier to use, especially when deploying the larger flip locks. The AL-323's center column also adds a weight hook for enhanced stability. Very happy with my decision. One caveat - the included bag is extremely thin and flimsy. It's almost exclusively for storage, not carry. I immediately replaced it with an inexpensive padded model.

I purchased the 323 RC2 and also 2 200PL-14 Plates, to convert my Slik Tripod to be able to use all 3 of my canon cameras on the Slik Tripod as well as my Manfrotto Trpd, without having to change the adapter plate each time I switch cameras. I have the SX50, 2TI, and the 7d MKII. I am pleased with the expedient delivery of the items, as well as the help I got from B & H. The quick release adapter and plates are solid , well built and easy to use.

We just purchased an Alien Bee Ring Light and the 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate by Manfrotto is the best way for our studio to easily use this light. We are then able to quickly go back to our rolling tripods and snap our camera back on the pistol grip.

The Manfrotto 323 RC2 quick release system is awesome. Very easy to use and it gives me complete confidence when shouldering my tripod through long treks, knowing the Manfrotto 323 has a firm grip on my camera. Love it!
