Best decision regarding sound recording. And the 32bit really comes in handy!

I think this is the best value for 32bit audio recording. the size is tiny. easy to use. no complain at all.

I had the zoom h series and upgraded to the F6. Wow! The 32bit recording is so amazing. I can tell the difference on the first session. The build quality is stellar! I was a little concerned about the knob controls being to compact but after using this for several weeks I've found using the controls easy even with larger hands. The SD door that some people complain about is fine being easy to open and close without issue. Very impressive field recorder. Highly recommend.

I am gonna report back after shooting a season with these. But after doing a couple small projects, my initial impression is, zoom killed it! sure there are some features that would be nice to add, wireless transmitting for monitoring while recording being the biggest one, or even just checking levels over the app while recording, to make sure its still working. But, dreaming aside, the 32bit float audio recording on these blows all the competition (besides tentacle sync of course) out of the water! I will never go back to anything but 32bit float recording at this point.

love this powerful little package, having 6 XLR inputs plus timecode in/out is fantastic, and it sync's great using the tenticle units. i'm still trying to figure out the 32bit float recording. the knobs act like gain knobs before you start recording but then work more like mixer / fader knobs while its recording. it keeps saying that i'm above the input limit. in the manual it says you don't have to set the gain at all and 32bit records the entire spectrum. probably after spending more time with it i'll figure it out.

Purchased for the 32bit float recording and replacing my Zoom H4n. Works great and simple to use. Although it only has 2 XLR inputs, I've only needed 2 XLR inputs. Simple menu system makes it easy to use. Start and stop times are much faster.

Great mic. A significant upgrade from something like a rode videomic pro. More pro XLR connection, so you can boom it, and much better build quality. Also, if you pair it with a 32bit float zoom f3/zoom f6 field recorder, it takes EQ like a dream. Very beautiful sound when you have a 32bit float recorder w good dual gain digital preamps. Not afraid of damaging it or humidity. Its a workhorse and versatile for a reasonable price. You need to phantom power it, and I wouldn't recommend using the internal battery feature, since it can add noise with some recorders, but phantom powered, it sounds very clean. Sennheiser once again delivering good value for money and a high build quality. Definitely not a toy mic.

I use Pro Tools since version 5.3, always getting better recordings, in mobile or studio situations. This new version will be used for most of my work, recording and editing audio. It has a learning curve that is easy and works seamlessly with sessions i already have.

Great addition to any recording studio, pro or home. I've found it particularly good for recording acoustic guitar.
