3.5 Inch Portable Monitor Micro Center

I own 3 of these for a portable triple monitor setup. I'm tired of seeing only 1080p or 4K 15.6 inch monitors. 1080p isn't often enough. 4K is a little overkill and you might as well change the resolution on your desktop to 2.5K. Well, this is a native 2.5K display. Oh and it's 16:10 aspect ratio so it's actually 2560x1600. The extra height is glorious for working in Davinci Resolve, Blender, and any other program. It also has full size HDMI which is very rare for quality portable monitors. Don't buy the garbage you see floating around on Amazon when it comes to portable monitors. Buy the ASUS. ViewSonic also has some quality options. I like ViewSonic's 1080p OLED, the physical design is better but it's micro HDMI and well ... it could have been 2.5K. Overall ... as of 2024 this is literally the best portable IPS OLED monitor that's affordable you can buy. I used my xRite color calibration tool to calibrate each monitor to 400 nits and Rec709. You can confidently color grade on these. They have minimal back light bleed. ASUS has been releasing 2.5K 15.6 inch 16:10 (same resolution) OLED panels in some of their latest laptops, so we might see a new Zenscreen like this in 2025 as an OLED panel. However, you can't go wrong with a tried and true IPS panel. These are great. Go for it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently started using the ThinkVision 15.6-inch Portable Monitor - M15, and it’s been a game-changer for working on the go. This slim and lightweight monitor is incredibly easy to carry, and setting it up is a breeze. The 15.6-inch display provides sharp and vibrant visuals, making it perfect for extending my workspace or even for presentations. It connects seamlessly via USB-C, which also powers the monitor, so there’s no need for extra cables. Overall, it’s a great portable monitor that offers convenience and quality.

This is simply an excellent value to enable converting a 3.5 inch HDD to a 2.5 inch SDD.

My Super Micro has only 4@ 3.5" internal drives but the SEAX11 system board supports 8 SATA ports. This drive cage gives me devices for the other 4 ports. I now have two BIOS selectable boot systems each in RAID-1 configuration. No data is stored on this storage, just the boot configuration which is quite small compared to today's 2.5" drive capacities.

Bought this for my Bower 7.5mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for Micro 4/3, and it fits perfectly. Snug and secure, I'm not worried if it inadvertantly slips out of my bag and falls. Bonus: it keeps it from jiggling around with the other lenses in the bag. A great way to protect my investment, at a very reasonable cost.

I started with the Micro, but soon desired some of the features found in this shotgun mic. I felt this version was a good balance between the micro and the more expensive NTG/Pro versions. I love the improved shockmount, a single mount is annoying since the mic bounces a lot with one mount. I also dig how versatile this mic is. I can use it on my cams or plug it into my computer for voiceovers. The pickup is much improved over the Micro, sound is more full, and overall I wish I had just started with this mic instead. It handles close and somewhat far audio pickup well, fulfilling pretty much all of my nearfield audio needs. I mostly use the 3.5mm input, but the USB output offers more granular control via RodeCentral. I like that's powered by USB/3.5mm, battery based mic's run the risk of running out at inopportune times. The only con is that I wish they'd provided the nicer coiled 3.5mm cable found in the Micro, but the supplied cable is fine.

This lens hood looks and performs like the original hood for my Nikkor 85mm f/3.5 Micro ED VR Lens.
