360 Degree Ip Surveillance Camera

We have purchased two of these so far to use primarily as NVRs for a large number of IP cameras on a school campus. Licensing costs aside, Synology Surveillance Station does a really nice job making it easy to set up and scale with the number of cameras you have. We linked two together, making one the primary and the other a secondary target for recordings. Surveillance Station records direct-to-disk, and does a decent job of adjusting camera settings directly using ONVIF. We have about 50+ cameras running at resolutions from 1280x720 up to 2560x1600, some PTZ, some ceiling-mount fisheyes, mostly wide angle fixed, and everything works pretty well. We were even able to use the manual camera configuration to use some uncommon double-lens cameras. With about 26 cameras assigned to each RS422+, we see about 20-25% CPU on each on average during a typical day. We can comfortably handle 32 per unit, and supposedly up to 40 if needed. With x4 6TB drives in each set in SHR-1 (equivalent to RAID5) we have about a month or so of footage retention. The licensing is a little pricey at $50 per camera (unless you buy in bulk from some european IP camera shops...), but it is perpetual and I think worth the expense. Using two of these units, 8 cheap drives from eBay (luckily these do not suffer from the Synology whitelist) and a bunch of camera licenses, for around under $5000 I was able to build and set up a really easy to use and reliable NVR system with plenty of future expandability. 2-3 users are regularly connected on their desktops without issue. 5 |

There are lots of free applications for IP Cameras, but if you're serious about IP Surveillance you can't do better than Axis Camera Station, and the best way to acquire the licenses is from B&H. 5 |

Excellent way to provide remote IP camera links with 9 degree beam width antenna. Easy to set up assuming familiarity with networking and access to Ubiquiti forums. Release software currently only supports Station mode. AP functionality is in beta, and currently works. 5 |

I love this lens. If you lay the camera flat on its back you get a 360 degree photo. If people are standing in a circle, about 10 feet from the camera, while doing this you will get an artistic portrait that is gauranteed to bring ooha and aahs.My only complain is that you frequently have a ring around the circle, I guess light is reflecting around in there where it shouldnt.I wish I bought it years ago. 5 |

I can shoot a detailed 360 degree Pano (VR) with only 7 shots (6 horizontal & 1 Zenith) using my older model Nodal Ninja mount. The camera/lens combo fits the Nodal Ninja perfectly. Having the zoom capability allows for wide angle shots that extend below the limits of my 17-50mm standard zoom lens. With the D300's in-camera handling of CA; I have not needed to make any post processing adjustments to the raw or jpeg images. Great value 5 |

Although a little expensive, there are not many easier or better solutions for the Blackmagic camera out there for handles. It swivels in 360 degree direction. It also almost matches the iKan CineFly. 5 |

This is the ideal mount for a 360 degree camera such as the GoPro Fusion. The diameter of this mount is smaller than other similar mounts, thus it can remain invisible between the two lenses of your 360 camera. Also, the fingers are exactly in the middle and not aligned in a J shape as in case of most other finger mounts which is also necessary to hide the mount from your 360 degree camera. For me it appears the mount is also made of durable material. It is also excellent for regular action cameras although any other mount will do for those. 5 |

I bought this small tripod base to screw into a light stand for use with my Rico Theta S 360 degree camera. With five 22 inch sections for the light stand, the whole thing extended puts the camera up to about 9.5 feet in the air. When a 360 degree shot is made the tripod stand is so tiny that it is not seen and I have found that I can also place my foot on one of the legs to really hold it steady and still the stand nor the tripod can be seen. It is the perfect solution for me and the whole almost 10 foot stand is nothing to carry around. 5 |
