The sound really came alive using these cans. Sony knows headphones. 5 |

I use this as an amp for my headphones that I hookup to my Xbox 360. They sound great for my stereo headphones. The build quality is superb and feels solid. My only complaints are that whenever I plug-in in my headphones, it makes a very loud popping noise. This also happens if I plug-in the headphones before I plug-in the power. The other complaint is that the power cord loosely connects to the amp while the headphones and input jacks are very secure. I find that odd. Overall I am pleased though. 5 |

Compared to my previously well rated Sony headphones these are the bomb! Sound is much more calibrated to how things sound in home stereos and car radios! A well priced option for head phone mixing applications and anyone looking for accurate and great sound phones! The ear pads could be a tad softer? 5 |

I have now tried 4 different headphones: Sony MDR-7506, Beyer DT990, Sennheiser HD650, Shure SRH1840. My intent was to find headphones that I could mix with, sounded suitably neutral, and have a similar response to my Yamaha HS7s, and to my HiFi which I use as an audio reference (Naim 42/110, into Rogers Studio One speakers..) Here are my conclusions/comments 1. Sony 7506: great for tracking; decent response, good isolation(I have two pairs of these..) 2. Beyer DT990: too much bass plus a sibilant top end, and 'scooped' mids. I did not like the sound of these. Returned. 3. Senn HD650: better than the Beyers but still an over-emphasized bottom end. Nice for general listening through a good headphone amp, but not good for mixing. Returned. 4. Shure SRH1840: best of the bunch, and sound very similar to the HS7s in my home studio. Bass is tight and responsive, and seems faithful to the intent of the recording. Also sound pretty close to my 'reference' hi-fi system. These are keepers. I wish that they were made in the USA.. ! 5 |

The sound of this Sony ear-bud is exceptional for such a low cost! I have used these E9LP ear-bud headphones.... on the go for casual listening and at home critical listening and they do not disappoint! At such a low price, I own several pairs. I am very happy with the comfort and the high sound quality! Highly recommended... 5 |

Ive used the standard Sony studio monitoring headphones for video production purposes, and while they sound fine, they just dont last very long...ear cup material comes apart or just comes off. The Sennheiser HD 280s are buil to stand up to the riggors of location production applications while providing great isolated sound for monitoring purposes. My only compliant/wish would be for them to switch to a non-coiled headphone cable...gets stretched out if someone decides to wrap it around the earpieces or if it gets shoved into a bag. 5 |

I am really pleased with my new Sony MDR-7506 headphones. The sound is great. The headphones are comfortable. I don't know how they could be any better. 5 |
