3D Resin Printer Cones Of Calibration

The Cinegel UV sheets are perfect for protecting 3D printer resin from sunlight coming through the window, without losing the light for the room. 5 |

This resin works really well with my printer using the recommended settings 5 |

This printer has been around a year or so and the firmware updates are great and simple to preform. It is a solid(resin) preformer. Got it on sale and I do not see a better printer for the money. Uses open source software so you are not locked into any eco system. Any issues some have had in the past are fixed with the firmware updates. Mechanicaly sound and quiet. The wifi is a great addition; no usb sticks or cable needed. 5 |

Great filament for an xyz 3d printer. Had trouble finding filament for my specific printer but found it here. 5 |

I am no stranger to high-end monitor and printer calibration systems, often using my i1iSis 2 XL for scanning a large number of patches to ensure I get the best colours... but in some fringe cases, like using metallic papers, that system cannot get accurate results. Enter the i1Photo Pro 3 Plus with the ability to use a polarizing filter to remove the unwanted reflections that are messing up the calibration results. A great example would be for one of my new favourite papers, the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Metallic. Impossible to calibrate with my other gear, super simple with this equipment. Great all-around kit. If you've got the budget for it, and colour is really important not just in prints but also with monitor and camera calibration, this kit has it all. 5 |

After many weeks of trying to find THE best paper for my color prints among dozens of paper samples (from Hahnemuhle, Canson, Canon, Inkpress, Museo), I have finally found it. I initially thought that Canson Platine Fibre Rag would be it, but it turned out to produce faint banding on my Canon ip8720 printer under certain conditions, which was impossible to unsee. This Hahnemuhle paper on the other hand has the same incredible detail, color gamut and dynamic range as Platine without the banding. Moreover, the accuracy of color rendition is exactly as on my screen using the default Canon profile (Lustre), precluding the need for printer calibration, which I was totally prepared to do if necessary. The only other paper that equaled this one in my tests was Canson Baryta Prestige, but it's slightly thicker, so not ideal for my printer. The Canon Pro Platinum is also remarkably good, but it's gloss takes away the 3D punch of more matte papers, such as FA Baryta Satin. Note that I also tried Canson Baryta Photographique but was disappointed by the results, even after calibration with Datacolor Spyder Print 5. I could not test Epson papers since B&H does not ship them to Canada. 5 |

This is my first 3D printer. The resolution is pretty good and assembly went well, no misalignments or incorrect parts. NOTE: You will need to do both a manual calibration requiring adjusting the leveling plate knobs a few rounds on each corner and a Z-axis offset on the touchscreen settings, as well as auto calibration. Watch the YouTube videos on how to do this as the manual included is pretty thin. The printer comes with a full set of manuals and videos on a SD card. It also comes with 2 SLT objects you can print, a USB-SD Card adapter and some tools for cleaning and changing the print head. It comes with .5kg of white PLA material. The base plate is heated. It takes about 2-3 min. to warm up the plate and head. The Creality slicer software takes the SLT files and converts them to G-code for the printer to work. It automatically puts in purge routes before laying the part beads. Which means any strings left around the print head get laid outside your print area. Then the printer does a few loops around your part before laying the first layers. You can adjust most of the settings on the touchscreen. The machine is fairly quiet and appears solid/well built. 5 |

I've had Eizo ColorEdge before but needed an upgrade. This printer with the calibration EX4 tool is quite exceptional for the money. Only thing it won't do is HDR which will cost you a lot more with the self calibrating system. Otherwise they are pretty much identical. Using it with a Mac Mini Pro with M2 chip. No issues. 5 |
